I was too annoyed to comment last night and thought I'd wait for some perspective to dawn before wading in. Instead of that I listened to Warburton's post match comments and got even more wound up. His take was that it was all finely balanced and had we put away the gilt-edged chance in the second half we could have gone on to win. This totally ignores that fact that it could easily been 3-0 by half time and that Wigan were better organised and more industrious than us all over the pitch for the entire game. Opponents have worked out that by double (and often triple) teaming Eze and Bright we have very little to offer going forward and the fact that the manager has not found a way to create a different advantage based on this is poor.

Warburton had at least seemed to have worked out that Amos robs us of any forward momentum by leaving him out of the starting XI but with Ball and Cameron both having a very poor first half it was almost inevitable that he would appear sooner rather than later. Amos lost no time in proving what a negative influence he is on the team with 45 minutes of either passing backwards or pointing backwards to demand others do the same. I don't care if we only have 7 fit players we would be better off without him.

The only glimmer of silver lining in this debacle was that Kakay and Shodipo are continuing to grow in confidence and influence.

Agree other than that about Amos, he made one or two decent balls forward and helped improve us 2nd half, mind you it didn't take too much.

After the last few days, Wigan were always going to be up for a fight. We have virtually guaranteed our place in Championship next season.
If I was a player, I would be trying my best to ensure I had a job playing as there is likely to be more than normal amount of players looking for new clubs next season.
If we do lose anyone, I hope MW is given some money to spend as I think he needs to get 3 or 4 in that can add something to the club.
