Win tonight and we're staying up.

Lose and we are deep in the brown stuff.

A draw and it's a very tense last two games.

I don't think we will get a single point from our last two games - even if we need to.
Everything hinges on our result tonight.

Charlton will finish this season on 46, 47 or 49 points.

Personally I think only 49 will be enough to keep us in the Championship, even if Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday both have 12 points deducted.
They are good enough on the pitch to gain the points they need.

Huddersfield, Hull and Barnsley are going down I think - unless we fail to win tonight.
In which case it will be Charlton, Hull and Barnsley who are relegated.

Your opening paragraph is probably the way it will pan out.

Huddesfield are 2-1 up with 5 minutes to go.

Brentford win tomorrow and they are in 2nd place with one game to go.

    Come on the Bees.

    Huddersfield's win means there are only four teams now in real danger of relegation;

    Charlton
    Hull
    Luton
    Barnsley

Plus Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday, depending on points deductions.

    All of the bottom 4 teams have make-or-break matches this weekend;

    Charlton v Wigan
    Hull
    v Luton
    Barnsley
    v Forest (Sunday)

But as the team currently in the place the other three badly want (21st) Charlton are in a slightly less desperate position.
However, Wigan are still fighting for every point they can get. Personally I think they may well beat us by 3 or 4 tomorrow.

If Luton or Hull win their match and Wigan do beat us, Charlton will drop into the bottom 3.

Hull and Luton both need a win, I'll be surprised if a draw is the end result.
As for our game stats point to an away win.

    Not much in it.

I have this horrible feeling though that if we do lose to Leeds, Wigan and Luton will get the results they need to drop us into 22nd place.
That would be just our bleeding luck.

Wigan's result is the key before the various permutations come into play.
Brentford and West Brom both losing show that we cannot be complacent that Wigan will not turn Fulham over.

Well here we are - less than 16 hours before full time in the last round of Championship games.
Everything should be decided this evening - but of course it won't be.

Our best outcome will be an unlikely win at Leeds of course.
Then we can only be relegated if the EFL decides to deduct some points off us.
As far as I'm aware they have no good reason to do so, but you can never tell with them.

But if we lose or draw tonight, it's anybody's guess what league we will be playing in (or striking in) next season.
We could be waiting for weeks on decisions taken by jobsworths in an office somewhere.
The whole situation is a sorry mess, and it's all down to the EFL's woefully unfit disciplinary policy.

They treat points deductions like a technicality they can decide on and impose when they feel like it.
But those deductions - particularly when two or three might be imposed at once - have the power to make a nonsense of the league table.
And nobody knows where they stand.

Clubs are going to be in so much trouble next season that in some leagues you might have a majority of Clubs with deductions hanging over them - if those Clubs can even fulfil their fixtures.
L1 and L2 could melt down into terminal chaos.
Even the Championship may become an utter farce.

How much sh*t has to hit the fan before the EFL and the Government WAKES UP!
    I despair, I really do.

The 2019-20 season should have been declared null and void, and all results expunged.

Money before lives was the only reason football continued.
    Football stinks.
