Looking forward to Euro Super League that takes top 4 or 5 out of the EPL and let us have a proper league. Sure, players would get poached, but no different to what happens now. But no halfway house where there is any crossover and no promotion and relegation scenario. Once they have ****ed off, they stay out of our game and good riddance! Whether you agree with the above or not, it felt bloody good writing it!
I think it's terrible for the game. It's fine as it is. The attraction of playing again the big teams will never go away for me. The idea of having teams in a league which saints would never be able to qualify defeats the entire point of football really.
And if they want to rejoin our league, at a later date, make them start at the bottom of the pyramid and work their way back up, giving the smaller clubs the chance of a few big pay days.
Think they intend to play in PL with the new league playing midweek. I suppose they will take 5 of the ‘big 6’. That will leave one team pissed off. Hope it’s united...sadly it won’t be.
It is noticeable that the clubs pushing for change are owned by Americans and they want an American franchise model. Football really has sold its soul to the devil.
Maybe we’ll be owned by Americans by then and they’ll take us. Every league needs a crappier tram to make it look good.
EUFA won't like losing the Champion's League...and the loss of competition to qualify for Europe (with the greedy clubs sewing it up solely for themselves) will remove excitement from the EPL. Teams in the European Premier League will start to treat the EPL as a secondary competition (perhaps even playing their B teams for some games). American involvement in football is turning out to be bad news as they lack soul....how long before they start lobbying for rule changes. Who thinks the European Premier League will play by present rules...can see advert breaks coming for a start.
You could see it coming especially timed shortly after the Liverpool/United premier league revamp suggestion with super voters. Easy for them, they offer something which benefits them massively with a charitable effect on EFL, it gets rejected and then they say it leaves them no choice but to branch off into something that also benefits them massively.
