An excellent question Eddie, I'm glad you asked it.

The simple answer is...any normal club wouldn't but as we know, Celtic are a club like no other.

The real answer is... the board members of the club at that time were also boardmembers and employees of the Trophy centre. Jack McGinn's wife managed the shop in the Gallowgate ffs. So Kelly, McGinn and White signed off on multi-year mega contracts for plastic trophies and baubles and made themselves a wee packet whilst also lining the pocket of the dirty bheast James Torbett. This is also why after Jock Stein, he who kicked said Torbett out of Parkhead because he was a dirty bheast, left the club they allowed Torbett to come back into the Celtic Boys club fold and turned a blind eye to him and others abusing kids for nearly two decades.

Kelly actually published an article in the official club newspaper, the Celtic View that the club had investigated allegations of abuse by men now convicted of child sexual abuse at CFC and found them all to be scurrilous.

Fact is, Celtic were still in a £250,000 a year contract with Jim Torbett's Trophy centre to supply plastic trophies and baubles a full two years after Torbett's first conviction for raping kids at Celtic Football club!

This isn't FF myth. This is fact. These figures appeared in Celtic’s published accounts at the time and are a matter of public record.

P.S. it also has to be remembered that those boardmembers were the same guys who rammed Tims into a dilapidated, unsafe Celtic Park like sardines whilst posting attendance figures of 25/30,000 every week! They were also the ones who took your club to brink of destruction and demanded their 30 pieces of silver before hand the keys of the hovel that was Parkhead over to the bunnet!

Makes you wonder why any Celtic supporter wouldn't want them brought to book.tbh.

I am a firm believer that the benefits system in Uk is abused by many and the whole system needs reviewed . This includes job creation ... generations of families have lived their life on benefits ! It’s also includes being stricter on those who look to cheat the system or simply refuse to work ... il

however , kids are innocent in this. Just because a parent abused the system and doesn’t use the money as required , a child should not be punished .

many kids only eat at school ... that’s ****ed up.

there are schools and nursery’s around here that use food banks to feed kids as they are going hungry ! They even use local charities etc to help gibe the kids clothes ffs

heard of some schools letting kids use school facilities to get clean !

This is not a child fault ...

1st world country with kids hungry , dirty and not clothed properly ...

 

This is different though. Loads of parents can't go to work due to lockdown and are only being offered 66% of their wages. They can't find a few £Ms just to help out the kids ffs.

They're absolute scum. They're meant to represent the electorate, how many people want kids to go hungry whilst the Tories are shovelling taxpayers' cash into their mates' pockets?

If a kid can’t eat due to lack of money , whatever the reason, then that’s ****ed up ...
