The SQUAD should be capable of winning the EL group without
having to field too many of those who would be deemed to be
part of the strongest PL starting XI.

The last 16 is when it gets serious.
Perhaps even the last 32 (once the dust of the group stages
settles + whoever is drawn as opponents) .

Just thought I'd mention it again, as it's a bit different:
THIS GAME IS A 5.55pm KICK OFF. IT DOESN'T START AT 8pm.

    Easy to miss.

Sacramento has confirmed that Bale will start tomorrow but that Tanganga is ‘still’ injured, which is weird as a few reports said he’d been training the last week or so and Dier tagged him in one or two Insta stories which looked like he was doing stuff in the gym.

Did not think Bale would be doing the away EL group ties.
However if he and Jose believe it must be done to get him
PL starting XI match fit by late november, then so be it.

I think it’s all about building up his fitness. Luckily we can give him minutes in the EL more easily than the PL

Dier and Ndombele haven't travelled so the likely team is - Hart, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Regullion, Winks, Lo Celso, Dele, Bale, Bergwyn, Vinicius

Depending on Bergwijn's fitness I think it's likely Dele will start from the bench again like against Linz. Think Lamela will play the ten role with Bale and Bergwijn either side of him.

Thought Hart would’ve started tbh. Not a bad team though.

Hopefully we see Clarke at some point, White and Cirkin too if we’re able to get them on.

    1. Players :

    - returning to / needing match fitness
    - who need to stop resting on their laurels

    2. Proper squad rotation

    3. Prospects who must seize their opportunity if given.

    Exactly as it should be.

What're the odds that Davies and Reguilon both pick up knocks tonight?

But Winks is in the team! Has he won you over?

I have to say the Winks/Dele pivot not only has me unconvinced on paper, but there's no way to make a portmanteau of their names without it becoming a racial slur or slang for the gentleman sausage

Strange team selection. Is it a 4-3-3 with Winks as the deepest midfielder? A little lightweight, if so.
Not sure why Lloris is starting this one, either. I think it would benefit us to keep at least one of our other keepers sharp, just in case.
It's a real shame that neither Tanganga or Rodon are available for these, at the moment.
Davies looked fine in the last match, but I'd rather not have him playing as much and have a proper centre-half there.
