    If Solskjaer isn't punished for his post-match rant then it's a #joke

"Manchester United were "set up to fail" by having their Premier League game against Everton scheduled to kick off early on Saturday, says manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer."

No one made him qualify for the Champions League last season :)

His outburst is an indication that he's feeling serious pressure already

    PRAY for ole.

I just want to point the following things out

    1. International breaks. Steve bruce states it best and he would know as a true incompetent who is perennially awaiting the bullet. https://www.skysports.com/football/...managers-fear-sack-during-international-break

    2. LFC got shut of rodgers around this time. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42094924

    3. There is still some home for agent ole. Utd have to rely on Woodward for competence.

anyone with half an ounce of sense would sack agent ole later on today. Let the matches go on and all the press to move on the put ole out of his misery and have pochettino installed. its a free hit.

therefore i predict a new contract for ole <laugh>

Palace/Leeds is an open game, very weird 3rd for Palace, an own goal which the keeper should have saved.

It's not just down to Ole though - all the managers since Fergie have been various shades of ****e.
Obviously they've carried the burden of expectation of an entire generation of fans who've known nothing but success and assume they have a God-given right to it, but the club's recruitment policy is flawed and that is equally to blame.
Their method has been to throw money (because they can) at every big name they can get and hope that it somehow makes a team.
    Doesn't work like that.

Perhaps they should be "set up to fail" more often, seeing as they got a rare win out of it.

Agent ole IMO is only a symptom of the greater rot.

I mean it was perfectly reasonable back in the day when Kenny shocked us all for LFC to turn to souness who had delivered 7? titles with rangers. the rot however was there and moores and parry were weak and undisciplined and we just lurched about doing stupid things.

the players we had were a joke. we went from 1989 for obvious reasons with players like nicol and whelan and rush and barnes and bought juilan fat dicks, stewart, ruddock etc etc.

There was zero understanding of the transformation happening to football and the greater levels of athleticism.

Today Utd are the same, their fans hark back to 442. I hear about two wingers and two forwards all the time, like they are fans of the 1950s harking back to WM formations. Their recruitment is driven by a non football man's opinion and absentee owners just take money out to fund their lifestyle.

Maguire is a classic example. Woodward decided for whatever reason (maybe a mate told him at a strip club) that 75mi lwas crazy for moutinho to get maguire. 12 months later he stumps up 85mil for agent ole. total and utter nonsense.

they stump up the fee no club on earth would pay for pogba and 20 mil min went to the agent. Juve grumbled but got on with it but utd were then shackled to the disaster.

They blocked de gea going to real madrdi then gave him 300k per week which promplty saw his form drop off the face of the planet.

They hired Moyes off fergusons' say so (a last assurance of cementing the old mans legacy by ensuring the next man would win nothing)
sacked him then appointed a terribly negative man who's best years were 15years before. a man who ought to be retired. then sacked him after winning a handy FA cup.
They hire mourinho then don't buy who he wants and he gets the handiest run i've EVER SEEN in two cups) and then sack him and all.
then they put in a caretaker hoping for i don't know what and that caretaker gets an easy run and does alright so they stop lookinf for a real manager and then give the caretaker a 3 year deal.

100 games later there they are.

gK can't stop a ball at his near post
    RB: can't cross
    RCB: weak willed
    LCB: slab head and slow
    LB: can't defend (telles)
    No 6 can't run
no 6/8 fred. the trump of football. his supporters love him onto death. everyone else sees a bang average player
    no 8 - diver
    LW - meals for kids.
    St: can't be arse
    RW: on a bender (greenwood)

bench has pogba who you can't rely on, van der beek who nobody can understand why they bought, cavani who's dead slow and extremely expensive, another diver, an absolute donkey (mctominay) and defenderswho can't defend.

There is just absolutely no strategy there.

4-1 to Palace, Leeds are wide open as they chase the game. If they play like this against one of the top sides they will be mauled.

I see now why Brewster was moved on. He doesn't seem to offer much, think you could count the touches he's had so far and the amount of times he's been mentioned on one hand
