Former French rugby international Christophe Dominici has died suddenly aged 48. The retired winger won 67 caps for Les Bleus and starred in the 1999 World Cup side which famously beat the All Blacks in the semi-final before finishing runners-up to Australia. RIP Christophe
Then let me. He was a magnificent footballer, when he wasn't cheating. I do so detest cheats, and never want them to flourish.
Maradona was a fantastic player but as with all brilliant people they seem to have basic human weaknesses. I must admit that whenever I think of Maradona I recall his hand of God incident and immediately recall the Joe Jordan handball penalty at Anfield in 78 and Andy Hayden's theatrical dive out of the line out against Wales in 77. Both of which I was fortunate or unfortunate to be present at and both of which potentially robbed Wales of historic moments. At least with Maradona he went on to score a great goal in his game which demonstrated his talent. RIP Maradona
Hi Glam - I was at both those matches as well. I remember walking straight back to Senghennydd House (my Cardiff Uni hall of residence in my final year) and didn’t speak to anyone - I was gutted. I was on the Kop when Jordan handled the ball - I’ve never wanted the Jocks to win another match ...
Sorry, I can't stand deliberate CHEATS,, How can they be rated as great ? Hayden's was even planned before the line out took place., I would have a memorial stone for them. ............................................................IN MEMORY OF THE MOST FAMOUS CHEATS IN SPORT.
