If that was a script for a film you would enjoy it but say it is unreal....they could make a movie of that in 40 years time for a new generation who by then will be watching a very different formula. That was a classic but surreal fairy tale.

 

Depends on how the pack shuffles once 2021 rolls around.

 

With Russell now proven I think Max is not going to have the next 10 years as he wanted. There is some good young talent. Also, Russell has shown that more than Lewis can beat Bottas. Russell I think could challenge Lewis with a bit more experience. He is more mature than Lewis was at that age and good deal less of a spoiled bratt than Verstappen.

 

Regardless it’s not realistic that Merc would get rid of Hamilton. Not their record breaking champion. It will be 2022 before George arrives, frustrating as it is. I just can’t see them buying Bottas out of his contract to bring in a driver that could upset the apple cart.

 

Interesting comparison. In terms of personality he is probably closest to Leclerc.

 

Watching Ted's notebook and clc just went to see Perez apoligise for crash and congratulate him. Clc does seem a very nice fast young man!

Seems like radio message didn't get through as George also radioed which seemed to cause a radio issue!!!
Seems like the 3 lap rule is only for incorrect spec tyres not for team mates tyres! Stewards recommend that rules be change to allow 3 laps.

 

First time in along while that F1 had really had me out of my seat. It's great to know we have a good crop of young drivers ready to mix things up in the future.

Still totally gutted for Russell and the irony of a Williams still managing to hold him back. Would love to see how he fairs against Hamilton.

 

Totally. When Russell was chasing his way back up from 5th to 2nd my heart was racing. Genuinely thrilling, putting it all on the line and taking all the risks, win or bust. Fantastic.

 

Same... And I wasn't expecting to be that invested in the result. As a self confessed Hamelot, I guess I should have been not too fussed, but desperately wanted him to take that win. It was deserved. I still genuinely feel pain for him, but his time will come. Imagine having to get back in that Williams after that.

Good to see the winner (Perez) and 2nd & 3rd places showing respect to the anthems! Unlike Hamilton who is more concerned with his hair and waving.

 

Hamilton wasn't even in this race but some people like to have a dig anyway.

 

Bottas back to Williams, George up to Merc, Problem solved.

 

Just my opinion .

Lewis will be at merc next year and so will Valtteri . But , Valtteri should be grateful that Merc tend to be loyal .

I still have this suspicion about who takes the helm as Toto takes a back seat. So I am not ruling out valtteri out and Russell in .

We live in interesting times...
