Went down for rape. Got found not guilty on appeal. The whole situation was still immoral, for want of a better word. People can google it if they want rather than share on here.

I can't remember. I think I got him mixed up with a Sunderland player. mmm not sure we need players that carry baggage?

If we sell Dieng, the club will basically be saying it doesn't care about performance and would rather get finances in order than stay in the league.

Which makes no sense considering the fact that dropping down to League 1 could set in motion a series of events that ultimately lead to the closure of QPR as a club entirely.

Keeping Dieng would, at this point in the season and in this position in the table, be like signing a great new player.

I doubt QPR would want such a figure at the club <monster>

We have recalled youngster Dillon Barnes from his loan spell at Hibernian which is surely a pointer that at least one of our keepers are on the way out of the door. Lumley to Doncaster looks highly likely but it might also add a bit of weight to the rumours that Dieng could be on his way to the PL. What a meteoric rise that would be and what savage blow to our relegation battle. To think at the start of the season Warburton had him as number three....scary thought.

If he goes it had better be for a proper fee, if it's £2-3million with add-ons we're sacrificing someone who could be the difference between staying up and goodbye for the usual peanuts...

My thoughts exactly. I think it's time the board sold up. It's been a disaster under TF and co. I supported him in the past but you don't get 2 chances at Premier league football and blow it twice because you employ the wrong people? The new stadium was pure fantasy and they will mess up the LC stadium as well. Promised us that we would have bright young talent to progress rather than has-beens and as soon as start progressing, they sell them. What idiots would get rid of their entire froward line and expect us to score? Who would get 20M for a player and wast most of it on rubbish? Don't get me started on the goalkeeper situation... that was messed up as well. We should have got David Dien to run the club.

We must be incredibly vulnerable to bids for any of our players right now just as we’ll be vultures hopefully for the likes of the guy at Doncaster if there’s any cash to spare.

For all we know selling a Dieng for a few million or BOS for £1.5m now rather than hoping for a good result at a tribunal in six months might be the difference between admin and not.

When we had less players injured, Warburton also selected the worse players or players on bad form for starts in respective positions.

Amos over several other midfielders, Wallace over Hamalainen, Kane over Kakay, etc.

So, you're right: putting Dieng at no.3 for so long was a bit of a blunder.

I have to agree with you.

I've long been a detractor of TF. He has indeed made blunder after blunder. And why?

Because he is a rich man who fancied himself as being the owner of a plaything. Except... he's not as intelligent as the other rich men who fancy themselves as the owner of playthings like football clubs.

He has always had stars in his eyes, imagining us being a top EPL club, a club in Europe over a short period of time. He's an idiot.

I know it sounds petty, but one thing showed me how much of a flop he was: when he failed to get a decent kit made for us, one that the fans liked, for about 4 or 5 seasons. In fact, for one of the seasons he didn't even have the kit ready for pre-season: remember wearing plain white shirts and blue shorts for the Charlton pre-season (forgot which year).

1st mistake? Sacking Warnock when we weren't in a relegation spot in the EPL, needlessly changing manager mid-season.

Hiring Mark Hughes in the first place.

Was Harry really a good choice when we needed a manager to keep us up?

All those dickhead players we bought in TF's first season.

    I honestly could go on.

Actually, I will say one more: sacking Holloway. Holloway improved on his own points tally with two seasons in charge. TF made all the sounds about stability. He sacked Holloway and went for more change, and look where we are now?

I would say "TF OUT!!" but who would actually buy our club now? We'd sort of be screwed without him.

Spot on and then doing it again before JFH came in. He turned our season around in 5 games.

    Agree

Harry should have gone after promotion. I remember a couple of names at the time that would have managed us better. That knee stitch up on deadline day was just nasty.

All those dickhead players we bought in TF's first season.
It still haunts me. That fella on 'decline day' in the car outside the club? what a cock up.

For me Holloway will always be remembered for the fun years in a crap division, pretty crap football but great fun as a fan. I would have him in a relegation scrap but not going forward.

Well think we are missing Amos pressing a lot. Don't remember Dieng being no 3, he was always on loan getting the experience that is probably helping him do such good job for us now.

Jeff, I’m sure you’re a lovely guy but I reckon my dog has a more complex thought process than this.

Let's hope it is Kelly who will be leaving, and not Dieng. Warburton said recently Kelly was very frustrated being the No 2, so maybe he will be going out, on loan at least. Selling Dieng in January could relegate us, I think we'd be in the bottom 3 now if Lumley or Kelly had been in goal.

Fernandes doesn’t have a majority share in the club and hasn’t for a long time, he has very little input to its running nowadays.

That’s a blast from the past.

40, retired eight years ago and lives in Zambia. Get him in.
