It's an attitude thing. Why bother watching the game if you expect and predict the worst-case scenario all the time? We're all just as realistic underneath, we know anything can happen, but why be a Cassandra about it?
I hope everyone has had a go on the BBC's combined Liverpool-Manc Scum team.... This was mine please log in to view this image
"I cannot tell a lie." I doubt everyone is as realistic underneath judging by the regular explosions i see of utter fury when we lose. btw the worst case is about 2-7. I haven't predicted us being handed our heads by utd i was only half wrong v southampton. The 0-2 turned out to be a drab 0-1 that on another day a bit of luck might have got us a draw. that wasn't too bad. I've said utd will take our unbeaten record at home, thats all. Its hard like we've not already lost to atlanta anyway lol. 0-2 again.
I was seriously worried versus spurs tbh, but we turned up - we always seem to when it’s a big game. It’s a huge issue in itself but let’s take one problem at a time and hope we turn up with the intensity required. If we do, we win imo
at that point we were not in such bad form. the question is not are we capable but rather when will this poor form go away. you are absolutely right that we ought to turn up and kill ourselves to get a result. If we didn't it'd be a whole other level of problem.
The reason that this is unlikely to happen is that they will be happy with a draw. We would need to be patient and I think that will be the match that the front three click again and rediscover their touch. They have conceded more goals than any team in the top two thirds of the table! We obviously need to guard against their counterattacks and make sure Cavani and Rashford are not supplied from the back.
I see Rashford is in all the papers saying that Mourinho showed the team how to get more penalties.... what he means is they were coached to dive at the slightest touch, or even trip themselves up to get a penalty.
it’s up and down, ups in the ‘big clashes’, downs in the ‘expecting 3 points’ clashes. It’s not ok and Klopp is well aware. But versus spurs, Leicester & wolves of late we’ve played some excellent stuff.
