    Return to normality thats all.

Stupid indiscipline, blown off scrums is unforgivable but most of all they pass the ball v france and get rewards then revert to rubbish after.

The ref sent off ake for a straight up tackle which is fair enough under the rules but refused then to look at genge hammered elbows down into sexton who was holding him.

Then you roll forward to france v wales and see constant cynical rubbish from wales. Jones should have gone to sin bin ten mins before and yet he was still there laying on the ball flapping his hands about pretending to roll away.

The rules are so inconsistent. Constant penalties for technical issues which are 70% of englands issues and then you can almost more easily get a red than a yellow now.

Ake has form for man up tackles but he is a centre up against a prop coming at speed. The rules now ask him to go low and get crushed.

There needs to be a serious look at these rules.

A simple technical foul like going over the top of the ball in your opponents half or a props elbow hitting the ground first should be a free kick not a penalty where it's a 50 yard loss of territory punishment.

Sin bin should be used more and penalty in your own 23 for cynical.play should be an auto sin bin.

There should still imo be a difference between honest rugby and head shots ake deserves a yellow. It's still 10mins but it's not a red. Contrast that to earlier reds in the tournament where people went after the head and got what they deserved.

Right now it seems far easier get you.position slightly wrong and a ref will have you off in a second but you can save a certain try with cynical play and get off with just a pen and you can do it 5 or 6 times before he will even consider a sin binding.

F1 season looking initially like it's shaping up to be quite competitive and probably the closest grid for a good while

    I hope so.

I hope we see actual racing being forced by competition now and now energy, tyre and fuel saving dirges.

Hopefully someone can break up the front 2 as well. Not bottas he deserves to be 10th, would love to see mclaren come.on a bit here in the race

thus far there is lot of good racing in the first F1 race and all the cars look brilliant. The liveries are very nice this year.

the russian gobshite who shouldn't even be in f1 but paid his way managed to plank it in quali and he lasted 3 corners ebfore planking it again.

    alonso is doing quite well.

    vettel is god awful lol.

verstappen and hamilton are on different strategies and verstappen is chasing down hamilton who got head in pit stops.

best of all norris is 3rd

It's been pretty good. I'd still like to see more closer car to car, man to man racing and less reliance on strategy. But it's tight in the pack at least. It's the Merc and Red Bull of Hamilton and Verstappen where it's been mostly strategic for 90% of the race, then when it all straightens out, as is happening now, there'll be some wheel to wheel stuff

The liveries are the best across the board in quite a while but they could all still be better in their own ways

Norris has had a great race, as has Tsunoda who looks very tidy

Vettel is just Vettel and should quit, his career after Red Bull has been, well, let's say curious

Alonso was showing how good he is, until he retired

The highlight was probably Mazepin binning it in the third corner on lap 1 on his debut <laugh> that was just a sweet sweet moment

Let's see about the last few laps between the front 2 now

It was quite good ending due to the guys at the front having a closing battle and a bit of a fight.

Bottas cruising in their and the rest mainly tyre saving is no good though.

A good first 25 laps. Once the teams start settling and conceiving the spectacle goes. The balance between cost and spectacle is still poor.

Good finish as it mattered to see max close up and you could see Hamilton wringing everything out of the thing from the in car camera on verstappen.

Max frankly planked it with impatience and struggled to get back then.

Hamilton placed his car perfectly and saw where to deploy the battery to prevent verstappen having a real chance.

And yes Vettel is embarrassing as a 4 times world champion. Alonso was tasty though.

The ferraris were in their box where they deserve to be. It's just a shame Perez ****ed it and then the car whimped out prerace at he would have put bottas in his place.

Overall it does look like it'll be close for a while at least.

    Masters golf.

I just love it when ****ebags like dechambeau and McIlroy get absolutely mullered.

Justin rose is flying right now.

The only place in the United states that proper golf is required is Augusta. Fast greens and a tiny bit of rough and its finding out the long bashers who have no clue where it will go.
