NP on timescale for appointment and if the "end of the season" is too late I talked about "in the summer" being too late. And all of a sudden it was changed to it being "at the end of the season". I keep saying the same things every time that we speak about being quite comfortable with how the situation looks. Nothing's really changed as regards the original agreement. I said in the press conference building up to the Sheffield Wednesday game that I'm okay with the timeline because we are going to speak at some point. And hopefully it's this week and if it's not then it'll be as soon as it's feasible to do it in a legal way, in terms of not breaking covid protocols. It's really important that we adhere to that. The conversations that are ongoing are to do with what's happening with the day-to-day, week-to-week process and I think from day one the conversations have been open and honest as regards my observations how we work here. There's nothing of any negative ilk that people should be too concerned about. Clearly it will be more beneficial if we can come to an agreement where everybody knows exactly what's happening. But as I keep pointing out, the agreement that we have is what we agreed on day one. And yeah, when results don't go the way that you want or people feel a bit insecure because there are questions that still haven't been answered, that's been very transparent from day one that it would be along those lines until we're in a position to change that. NP on possibility of working with a director of football We've not spoken about it yet. Mark doesn't leave until the end of May, and I'm yet to speak with the owners. All these types of issues will be discussed in good time. However the club decides to go, either replacing Mark's role or creating a new one, I don't know at the moment. But it's part of the modern game and I'm really very comfortable and relaxed about working within a structure, as long as I know my responsibilities and remit, we're all trying to do the same thing: gain success. We've not yet discussed how that looks but those conversations will be had at some point. And I'm sure when the club is in a position to make a decision or a statement as to how we then move forward it will be done by the club and it won't be disclosed by me.
Jon Lansdown back. However Bristol Live understands that Jon Lansdown did return to Bristol from overseas last week. The chairman has had to quarantine as per rules regarding coming back to the UK from abroad but is expected to be back at Ashton Gate in the coming days with the club facing those crucial decisions.
Let's just hope Wiz that the trend towards better decisions continues and we don't end up making bad managerial choices again.
It's that time of the year when managers are fired and replacements hired so the need to get our ducks in a row is now and not in 8 weeks time. On a lighter side perhaps Jose has been on the radar all along and Pearson was just an interim mirage.
Mmmm.....looks like a load of waffle to me....doesn't seem to be any urgency or willingness to get things done early......I'm not buying all this Covid **** either.. Don't know about everyone one else, but I'm getting a sniff..........I hope it's not of rat!!
jose seems to do well over a short time ..often inheriting a good team or team that is almost ready to do something .. would last less than SC
