The "Big" six all left the ECA right? ECA membership is a requirement for entry into a UEFA tournament isnt it? So all 6 clubs will have to rejoin? If I were uefa i'd tell them all to go **** themselves and try again next year. Tell them there is a 12 month waiting list. Let all 6 rot outside of Europe for a year, give the CL and EL spots to the next clubs down.
don't think he was much for it.. @Spurlock on other hand. .Been banging on about super rich, but quite mediocre spurs for 2 days....
Tough one for me as pretty much all the managers have said that they or the players had no input. It would also seem harsh on the fans of these clubs if punishments were handed out.
no point you knocking them, you've been banging on about the saudi takeover for yonks. you would have been 100% behind this...
Yup. They truly put all their eggs in one basket regarding Europe. Resigning from ECA was a massive own-goal since they bottled their new plans 2 days later. Does anyone else think a lot of these businessmen/capitalists are just a bit thick? We're always told they are where they are because of their cunning approach to business and ingenuity but this has to be one of the worst business ideas in decades by ****ers already in heaps of debt. They jeopardised their existing steady income stream for pie in the sky and it's backfired.
s’up bro ? Busy this week so I haven’t really been following it closely. Hearing that a few teams want to pull out now they know it’s a **** idea and they’ve caught the first whiff of the fallout ffs Game is ****ed mate. No fans, ****ty VAR, greedy owners who want their own plaything. I said before, I’ve never felt more out of love with the game as I do right now.
Think it’s the last time anybody will level us with the entitled bollocks. All in this together, just what football needed ironically.
I so want to call you a moss eating, bare faced liar, but i actually believe you. spud on the other hand.
I agree in part but as regard the fans I'm a bit split. They don't deserve any punishment themselves but if nothing gets done then it's possible the majority of the fanbases will make noise for a month or so and then brush it under the carpet for next year when their clubs have worked a transfers distraction game through the summer. If the fans had to endure their club actually be punished for the actions of the owners then the fallout from that would drag on for much, much longer and really focus minds. Look, we all know there's a good chance nothing will now be done and 99% of fans will have got over it by September.
So how long before Daniel Levy (the cretin) resigns. Spurs fans on here would you be happy him leaving?
On the other hand if no punishment is dished out then they will just try again 18 months down the line. Also there is no thought for fans of Bolton, Bury, Sheff Wed or back in the day us with sanctions and points deductions. These clubs have gambled trying to absorb pretty much all of the power in the world game and ****ing everybody else (Inc Charlton) at the same time. They lost the gamble and it should cost them. In an ideal world it would hit the owners in the pocket and leave the football side of it untouched. Not sure that can happen.
Im deadly serious man, all 12 of these clubs left the ECA and so should be banned from re entering until next year, so they all get to miss out on European competition next season. Which means at the moment, the PL's champions league entrants would be Leicester, West Ham, Everton and Leeds, with Villa and Wolves going into the EL, currently. Id be down for that.
