Could we get Simeone, some might not like his style of football, but Athletico score plenty of goals and are usually sound defensively. Whether he would want to leave Madrid to come to Spurs and the PL is debatable, but he has been at Atletico 10 years and could be ready for a new challenge in a different league.
Supposedly, he's on more money than Mourinho and Guardiola combined....€42 million. Levy would have a heart attack at the mere mention of it.

GWAAARN LAD! I’m so made up for him and now feeling incredibly conflicted about being so excited to see the team play tomorrow. I haven’t been excited for a Spurs game under Jose for a while, if I’m honest.
Yeah I get what you mean, I don't think anyone had been, felt like a chore having to watch us of late. I hope Ryan provides that small managerial boost to the team, Southampton will no doubt be well up for it tomorrow too after the ESL bollocks and they'll be wanting to stick it to one of the "founders" at first chance, so we'll need to be on the ball.
It’s just mad to think that a lifelong Spurs fan who is basically my age is about to manage the club in a cup final. But yeah Southampton will be well up for this tomorrow. I’m looking forward to seeing how Mason sets us up and the players he picks. Hopefully there’s a reaction from the squad. He won’t have much time to work with them but I just want to see us playing aggressive, on the front foot, and moving the ball quickly. He’s saying all the right things in the presser so hopefully he can put them into practice with limited time.
Yeah he's two years younger than me...Crazy. He went school with one of my best mates too and they were good friends back then, to this day he still talks about how he was a better player than Mason in school . I don't even know what to expect to be honest, would be great if he could provide that much needed spark to the team and ideally pick one that looks like it'll attack from the off, and stay attacking too.
Mason has the simplest cup final speech to make to all of the 2015-16 vintage on the team sheet : I fronted up in a game to score a winner for the PL campaign, got an injury that effectively ended my Spurs playing career, and fate put me on a path elsewhere that ended my playing career. You gonna tell me now you cannot front up for the club for just 90 mins ??
Just watched the clips of Ryan taking today's training session. It brought a flicker of a smile to my face seeing someone who cares more about Spurs than their ego.
So a couple of alternate names have been mentioned by sources who are quite good at alternate facts The Pathetic have linked us with Bilbao manager Marcelino, who has a lot of similarities with Poch in that he plays attacking football and nurtures young players, and after taking over in January (oh hello, Mr Red Flag...) his second and third matches in charge saw them defeat Los Ladrones and Barca to win the Supercopa de Espana while earlier this month he reached back-to-back Copa del Rey finals (or, to put it another way, he lost the 2019-20 and 2020-21 CdR finals within the space of two weeks) Duncan Castles, meanwhile, has suggested ex-Benfica coach Rui Vitoria as an option - although given he's been out of work since being sacked by al-Nassr last December, and for results reasons rather than criticising the Saudi government for murdering journalists he's hardly the most inspiring name to be linked with even before pointing out that we've had our fill of Portuguese managers for now, thanks
