Wait, did you just come in here to say you'd stop watching lestah if they got invited?

Or to defend Chelsea and city's spending?

The ones that aren't connected to a military dictatorship.

As for your debts being smaller than ours, doesn't that mean that you should've been able to pay them off?
You seem to be missing the point badly, as usual. Nobody cares if you have debt you can afford. They care if you rip people off.

That’s why I don’t buy into all the debt comments. Pretty much every business in the world borrows money and therefore accrues debt. As long as you can service that debt then I don’t see the issue.
Not sure that I read that any of the 6 PL clubs are not be able to service that debt as it currently stands?

Hard to tell in the current environment, but they each had enormous revenue prior to the pandemic.
City and Chelsea don't even count really and I'm pretty sure the rest were fine.
Leicester were ****ed by a debt of something like £75m, IIRC. That wouldn't bother some clubs, but it would annihilate others.

Our actual debt was closer to £30 million most of which was incurred in building the King Power Stadium (as is) ... what pushed us to the brink was the collapse of ITV Digital and the projected revenues from that deal that would have gone a long way to servicing that debt ...

That's the reality ... not your picture of us deliberately screwing over local businesses ...

... and as I've said ... nothing to do with our current owners ... unlike your financial crisis that sits squarely with incumbent Dodgy Dan's ego trip with White Elephant Lane <laugh>

Hadn't realised you got done by the ITV Digital collapse as well. Exactly the same reason my lot got in debt, because we were rebuidling the ground at the time. Left us with £13M in debt. Then after the banking collapse it mysteriously disappeared.

When did I say that you deliberately screwed over anyone? You spent money that you didn't have, like when you came up recently.
I'm sure you've paid them all back now that you're flush, right? Right?

As for white elephants, you might want to look a little closer to home and your own dubious extension.
Nevermind though, you can always ask your owners for some more blood money nicked from the oppressed populace, eh?

The then 'Walkers Stadium' cost us £37 million ... it was meant to be an investment but at the time we were a not very good Championship club ... our owners at the time were notoriously tight fisted and our record signing was Ade Akinbiyi for £5 million ... so we weren't exactly profligate in our spending ... the ITV Digital collapse was the tidal wave of a 'perfect storm' in terms of what it did for our prospective future ...

Part of the reason that the fans so love King Power is the decades of under investment that we endured under previous owners... Mandric was just a speculator... clever one ... get us back to the Champinship ... cash-in ... worked for everyone.

Unlike the Spurs owners, King Power have all but eliminated our debt, not increased it exponentially.... and put the stadium back in club ownership ... also invested in the City of Leicester itself with the Premature baby unit and other community projects ...

... but Polly has intimate knowledge of bungs made to a military Junta... he also thinks Dodgy Dan is in it purely because he loves Spurs <doh>

Yes, I'm totally making it up and this isn't on the ****ing Wikipedia page for King Power:
"In January 2019, it was revealed that King Power was among the donors at the pro-junta Phalang Pracharat Party's 600 million baht dinner fundraiser."

You're a sportswashing exercise for a crook who backs a dictatorship. Shh.

That's because you are both playmates in the Greedy 6 club mate... all you need to understand is that our current owners have taken us out of debt and won a Premier League title without having to buy it... rather than putting us in debt to such breathtaking proportions that we then looked to join a completely unprincipled money making scheme ... simples <cheers>

You said £30M but in the next comment you said £37M, I'm easily confused.

You said ITV Digital pushed you to the brink of collapse, so how did you pay the debt off, or did your owners just pay a percentage of the debt with the rest being written off due to the financial collapse at the time?

Are you seriously trying to compare backing a military dictatorship to let them keep nicking from the public purse to using a government scheme? <laugh>
I know exactly what our owners are. They're businessmen that are all about increasing the value of their asset every year.
They're not in bed with a ****ing junta, though. Pretty sure that's a bit worse! <laugh>

The debt was reported as £30 million
... the stadium took a fair while to build / complete so we'd paid some of at the point that the TV deal left us facing the abyss ...

No, your owners are just a bunch of crooks that bung the people that command them.
Then you praise them for their apparent love of Leicester, which obviously stems from watching Emile Heskey.
It's definitely not a sportswashing exercise for dodgy arseholes. Nope. Can't be.
