If it's typical SAFC April to May ****e then is replacing the manager the way to go?

We're on out 10th manager in 8 years not including caretakers. To me it's the recruitment that's gone wrong and hopefully that is the aspect that we're addressing

It’s nice to know both our clubs have the same aim.

    Well I was 50% right, I did predict the 1 correctly :emoticon-0101-sadsm
To be fair we were also quite consistent, as in not quite good enough
IMHO it was a game of small margins like a number of others recently. The main problem for me is that we appear to lack self belief the fabled "winning mentality" does anyone know if the club uses the services of a sports psychologist to try and instill such mental toughness? I am not talking of the Howard Wilkinson flock of geese video, shudder, there's a period I thought I had erased from my memory

Anyway I digress, It's just funny how sometimes when you go out totally confident expecting to win it just happens and when you go out expecting the worst to happen it does more often than not.

I think we need to just get back to basics look to keep clean sheets and have confidence that we have enough in the team to get a goal from somewhere and win 1.0. I just think that LJ is looking to make too many attacking changes from the bench and is pushing too hard leaving the team unbalanced and the players not quite sure what they are supposed to do. The majority of the players we have are 3rd division standard let's just keep it simple.

Right got that off my chest it's still all to play for so onwards and upwards

We’ve been leaking like a sieve since he came back into the team. That makeshift defence was solid and shouldn’t have been changed until they started leaking goals. Just because Wright was ready to return it doesn’t mean he should walk straight into the team.

It's crystal clear that he isn't fit. He's been rushed back in to the team because we have no-one else to play centre half. It's actually making us worse and I'd rather we played Ollie Younger there. We'll find out at a later date that he was nowhere near fit and needed injections before every game

Bit like Beckham in the World Cup that time when everyone insisted he was "fine" then admitted months later he was about 5% fit and should never have played

What a ****ing car crash this season has turned into

Roll on the summer and some investment and a clear out of the ****e

This season? Do you think we’d have been in with a shout of automatic promotion at any point if Parkinson was here?if you do then I’d love a glass of what you’ve been drinking.
Parkinson had us 11th with a squad of his choice of players. Johnson had us 3rd and now 4th with same players and a couple of additions.

I've been having a bit of a look into things and I've started to notice that, sometimes, football teams lose games. Especially ones that have been badly run for at least the last 10 years.
I'm not sure what some people want. "Jurassic" Parkinson was a dinosaur, didn't know what he was doing in the modern game. So we appoint a manager who's deeply invested in doing things at the cutting edge of modern football thinking and now he's "too clever", "arrogant", or "baffling them with science".
Its always the manager isn't it? Losing games is never anything to do with loss of form, injuries, pure bad luck, or even the ability of the players.
While some of these things are the manager's responsibility to put right, there are plenty of things happening on the pitch that he has no control over. Did Johnson tell Burge to rush off his line for O'Nein's OG the other day? Was it Johnson's fault that Kaikai's flukey hit, that could just as easily have ended up in the stand, flew past the goalkeeper? Of course not. Lets have a bit of realism shall we?

However it must be remembered that he "walked back into the team" once Sanderson was injured. Bit harsh laying it all at Wrights feet as he certainly wasn't at fault for todays goal, unless i missed something at all.

3 seasons in league 1, 3 different managers, and only once have we looked like a team good enough for top two, which was under the current manager. Whatever happens this season I'll be glad to see a bit of a clean sweep on the playing side and see if we can actually get this recruitment malarkey working a bit better.

He walked back into the team in the 2-1 defeat against Wigan playing alongside Sanderson and we haven’t won a game since. I’m not blaming Wright any more than I’m blaming Hume for coming back. It just seemed to upset things is all I’m saying. Sanderson has also been a huge miss.

We have no evidence and I stress the word evidence that the new owners are any better than the old "New Brooms". Theories don't win football matches, well organised and well prepared football teams do.
The problem is we now have one that is disorganised and ill prepared.
Any fool can see this team is totally drained and dead on its feet.
Yet the same players are asked time and time again to play 90 mins after 90 mins because the alternatives are ignored. Only one man is to blame, the head coach.
