Anyway, you can thank the dogs in my avatar for that, it is their 12th Birthday today and they sat loyally as always by my side whilst I watched that 'in total silence'.
So who thinks Fulham are going to win 4 out of Chelsea(A), Burnley(H), Saints(A), Man Utd(A), and Newcastle(H)?
A word for Jack Stephens tonight too. He was not in a position he'll have played in hardly at all in his career, but did well and didn't look out of place. Well played Jack.
Fast turning into the new Yoshida, for me. Not the best player, has a mistake or 2 in him, bit a great player to have in the squad ... he's versatile, dependable, and he'll never let you down. He'll do a solid job wherever he's asked to play, no fuss made. Squads need guys like him imo
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see him at left back if we can help it. But I'd rather see him there and Salisu central (because MS is excellent there).
Yes but if (big if) he isn’t here next season, we should be using the next five games to give Salisu even more experience in the PL at centre back and alongside Bednarek who is likely to be his partner.
Oh I completely agree. I don't want to see players playing out of position like that, I was just making the point that he's almost a mr dependable and will play anywhere he's asked (just like Yoshida did before)
I seriously can’t do this anymore. I feel so cheated by my passion. I’ve played school ball football, “amateur” league, partly referred, amateur lino (yes old days); was very pro Var before implementation. Now, I want so rid (my initial comments were really unprintable). The referring system including Var is ... has ruined my game, my enjoyment. Tonight; IMO ref made a mistake. Actually I don’t have an issue with that. It’s a fast paced game. Refs are human; judge/call & sometimes get wrong. IMO Var was brought in to correct refs wrong assessments. Stand the **** up! Or **** off. Please **** off.
Forgot to add. Well played Saints. Unfortunately, my view was rather tainted & I’ll admit I lost focus of our overall performance. And that in itself tells a story, after all I’m just a punter, Saints for 50yrs plus. So, so sad.
Yep VAR isn’t IMO for ‘clear and obvious’ mistakes. But for mistakes. It should be for you made an error, as in ‘real time you couldn’t see it’. It is broken and can’t be fixed.
Really sorry guys, I didn’t have time to do updates from the game. We won 12-0. Eight goals for my big striker, you know the one who is 12 inches taller than everyone else and looks 16 not 13. Great game of footy but hopefully next week they get a bit of a test. also well done to Ralph and the boys for a hard fought draw.
That’s so blah. So blah it’s sad to the nth degree. You really are up the backside of PmolG or whatever its called. As usual you take an auto defend stance. Have some ****ing balls & for once follow it through.
A like isn’t enough for this. My thoughts precisely. Without VAR we would have felt cheated but for VAR to not even call the ref over to review the decision from a replay is ****ing pointless. It’s far far worse then the ref getting it wrong. It’s not just VAR it’s the rules as well. If the ref has no choice but to issue a red card for a foul in that position then the rules are wrong. It can’t be a goal scoring opportunity if you are second to a 50/50 ball. also if Virgil ****ing van dyke had played that touch away from vardy the league would be lining up to jizz over his amazing skills.
was class tonight. And he got a telling off for telling the linesman to wake up. Which was deserved. So he gains an extra point for that as well
