I thought that Buckells was clearly bent. The ending was slightly disappointing but I think that if they had discovered H was in AC!2 it would have disrespected people watching the series. In the end it was either Buckells or Osborne. I have to say that the "epilogue" strongly suggested that the story has more legs but, of it comes back, I hope that they don't continue with the conspiracy theory and just look as corrupt coppers.
The weird thing about the TV series is how the media ran away with very far out theories when the truth was as simple as Buckells being too incompetent to merit real consideration. I still think that series 2 and 3 were the best but the conclusion was always going to be an anti-climax as so many people had disappeared. This series had more action yet the programme is at its most compelling during the interviews. I was intrigued by Martin Compston's comment that he thought Steve Arnott was an unpleasant character. In my opinion, Compston was right that every office has a character like him yet i did not find him unlikeable. Not sure that there is anyway back for Ted but Carmichael might make an interesting change if there is a series 7.
I thought the statement by the chief constable denying institutional corruption, Hastings dialogue and the "epilogue" as Ian T describes it leads on to the next series. I hope so, it's when the mighty should fall, they'll be quaking down at the lodge.
Incredible film, beautifully acted, powerful storyline, humour when needed, a soundtrack that matched, well worth a watch.
Having accumulated some money during lockdown I decided to splash out today. Bought Heinz beans instead of generic ones and a roll of decorated kitchen roll instead of plain. This is a woman who knows how to live.
A young family were out for a drive and were behind an Ann Summers van. The van hit a bump the back doors flew open and a dildo flew out and hit the windscreen. The parents looked at eachother and the mum said That was a big insect wasn't it? The daughter replied I'm surprised it could fly with a cock that big
Hmm, and what if the cleaner Julie was doing a below par job and it was manager Julie's job to pull her up about it ? This sort of stuff in the media is not always the full story.
If she did a below par job , there was still no need for the manager to tell her off in front of other staff , but I take your point .
I think this forum should have a government health warning. I was reading posts on this forum and my Mrs said something to me. Yes was my reply. It became apparent that it was the wrong answer when something came flying in my direction
As I was getting into bed she said "You're drunk!" I said, "How do you know?" She said, "You live next door...."
