No, never experienced that back in the day!!....It's a good job we got those results at the beginning of the season, when everyone was saying how much better Deano setup the now dreadful squad.....just saying..
Bentley has stopped us being relegated with his incredible displays-when we should have lost games but he got us the points single handily.
Whatever one thinks about LJs squad, the backbone of LJ's first team got injured; Weimann, Baker, DaSilva, Paterson, Walsh, O'Dowda - and DH's Chris Martin (I seem to remember you creaming your pants about Martin RR - referring to him as a 'different gravy'). NP has been left with a depleted squad, built by someone else. LJs squad, if uninjured, would probably have delivered us top half championship football - just below the playoffs (as usual). Injuries aren't LJs fault. The physios are being investigated about those. What I'm saying is that I agree - and I've said in this thread - that Bentley saved us. What isn't broadcast is that the squad has been decimated by injuries and we're left playing the kids and the 'B' team - and players winding down their contracts.
I tell you what if SL did not get DH gone and bring in NP -Bristol City would be heading to league one.
Yep, unbelievable really that winning the opening 4 games this season has basically stopped us getting relegated.
And I still believe that fortunes turned against us as a club, and against DH as Head Coach when O'Dowda stupidly gave away a penalty at Barnsley in October, when we'd been 2-0 up and heading for a 5th straight league win. Afterwards it felt like a defeat, and we lost 3 and drew 1 of the next 4 games.
I was watching that game from a sports bar in Benalmadena and it ruined the rest of the day. I said to Mrs R&W I bet that Woodrow scores!!
Makes the beer taste horrible when that happens, although I'd still choke it down But it really felt like we'd lost the game after the whistle blew, and while we won some more games before January, it still felt like we'd lost our momentum. Now look at Barnsley's league position compared to ours ! Personally the last game can't come quick enough. It's been a dreadful season after such a bright start.
results with him gone couldn't have gotten worse! … coach's may have picked up 2 or 3 more wins.. ! new manager or continuity may in 21/22 been a success ..
He only had minimal involvement for Boro , so being generous to include that in the NP era, Swansea was his first game with him having full involvement.
