I'm going out on an All Dayer this coming Friday in Bristol and doing exactly the same the Friday after too.
Had a meal outside in the garden of a lovely pub along with a couple of pints on Sunday, even the sun came out . First time for well over a year. It was amazing
There is a shop in Weymouth called 'rude not to', it sells all things mod mainly clothing and just prior to the last lockdown I bought a tonic sta press suit and 2 days later with a reservation to a posh restaurant for my birthday, we went back into lockdown, so I have never worn it. Just re booked for Saturday, let's hope the fecking suit still fits.
Off to stay with my youngest in London (Tooting) this weekend. The train fare from Swindon was surprisingly reasonably priced for a change. Just as well really - looking forward to a session or 2 at £7 a pint
Enjoy your freedom lads and let's hope we can get the same here in Canada some time later this summer.
I just bought 15 bottles of Stella in Sainsburys for £8, I 'll join you in spirit down the pub tonight, cheers me dears..
i've doctored the lyrics slightly but this described me back in the day from The Who's Quadrophenia 'i've had enough'. I ride a SX. scooter with my hair cut neat I wear my wartime coat in the wind and sleet https://www.rudenotto.net Got a lovely fishtail parka as well.
I had an LI in 66 wearing a Parka bought down on the levels from an old army store. No helmet, just John Lennon classes. Upgraded to a SX 200 the year after wearing an old RAF coat.
I used to have an NSU Prima D with an elecric start, I wore Double D jeans, Parka, a fur artic hat with ear muffs hanging loose puchased from the Army and Navy in Hotwells, circled the centre many times, Upgraded to a Anglia 105e with a 1250cc souped engine with twin Weber carbs, smartened up to a mohair suit with a suede tie and chisels, Small Faces and the Hollies, those were the days.
It's a very limited lockdown bcfred and we have to stay close to home but to Ann and I there really hasn't been a problem with the rules. Enjoy the freedom and hope the Indian variant doesn't change the scenario for you and the rest.
Not any more There was a time when it was either 5.1% or maybe 5.2% and it used to push some people beyond the edge of reason. These days it's a mild mannered 4.8%
