I can the least our league 1 players can do is put as much effort in as Lincoln did, instead of bottling it. Most of these players have been here for 3 seasons now and have proved they aren’t up for it.

I am trying to be honest - the players, the squad - absolutely pants. But I would be lying if I didn't admit to having some doubts about Johnson - I know it's not his squad but I have to admit to being worried - I hope that as I am normally an optimist that someone posts this thread when we are promoted. I am deflated tonight though

 

I’m not surprised at getting beat but I’m shocked at the manner in which we got beat, I did not expect a performance as poor as that in a game as important. I’m too annoyed to make any predictions for Saturday or single anyone out, I’m gutted tonight absolutely gutted.

 

Exactly what I predicted would happen last week but was shot down so no I am not ecstatic tonight.

 

We probably need to have someone in mind to come in around Christmas time, just in case. It would look awful sacking him now mind. Same old short termism, now we're not even letting managers get their own players in.

 

I’m not surprised about tonight’s game as I thought they would beat us, I am however surprised people felt as though we would cause even when we were on our winning streak we still looked ****e. These players bar 1 or 2 have let us down now for 3 seasons, they are serial bottlers and failures and everyone of them should be shown the door cause let’s face it they’re not good enough for L1 so are no where near championship standard. Saying that we still have a chance on Saturday if we put in a Portsmouth away performance in but we need to start finding the net again

Can you say that the first goal was lucky? There was 2 Lincoln players on their own at the back post - that's bad defending in not tracking your man

 

The only Real problemwe have is defence. Playing head tennis fo goal 1 and slow obvious back pass without following in to over. It really is basic schoolboy stuff. Oh, and Wyke waiting for the ball instead of running for it

 

We were flying for automatic. 15 games unbeaten. News, we give Diamond a contract. I said at that point it was bad timing and since then check the results. The players havent given a flying one.

Please f*cking prove me wrong boys and go and do the business on Saturday. An early goal 10000 roaring SAFC on and their arses might just drop out.

Expect some annoying niggly tactics from them on Saturday.

 

I wouldn't say ****e just yet but I've seen nothing from him in regards to changing the culture or style of play and his central midfield pairings have cost us this league. I'm on the fence, leaning slightly to you!
