Reminiscent of the lad who played for Bolton...? I think his surname began with B... career ends likely..
Then lets hope UEFA cover the medical costs and insurance premiums for loss if income if the lad ends up having to retire prematurely.
How was Lukaku not offside? I know the answer is that the defender was involved and the ball didn't go directly to Lukaku, but he was still way offside when his teammate passed the ball.
Not sure how much the Denmark players have been affected by earlier events, but Schmeichel would normally have saved the Finland goal and the penalty was dreadful.
Didn't look a pen. to me. PK taker made it easy for the keeper imo. Very weak effort (extenuating circumstances perhaps).

Excellent goal in an otherwise mundane borefest...how good are Belgium if a team decides to man up and attack them?
I don't normally have good things to say about referees, but Anthony Taylor had the Erikson trauma assessed and reacted in three seconds or so. He's the only one with the power to stop the game and I think he too, deserves a pat on the back. He reverted to '****y' type on the awarding of the penalty.
Denmark - Finland game should’ve been abandoned. I understand that Eriksen wanted his teammates to carry on but football players, like most professions other than armed forces etc., aren’t trained or conditioned to carry out their job after a traumatic experience such as a colleague facing a potentially life-threatening injury. Well done to medical staff, Anthony Taylor, and the Danish and Finnish players for responding so quickly to get him stabilised and the medical attention he needed.
Been out for a meal. Could barely eat a thing thinking about Eriksen collapsing. Pleased that he has been stabilised and is still with us. That’s the worst thing I’ve seen happen on a pitch. Amazing work from the medics and staff operating under the microscope of a global audience and two sets of fans. I didn’t like the cameras homing in on his grief stricken partner - I thought that was in very poor taste.
