Not for me. He scored a goal but he was the point at which many attacks ended because of his poor decisions
A world cup semi-final. Averaging nearly 5 goals in our Euro qualifying campaign. Qualified from our group after just 2 games whilst keeping two clean sheets. 'Southgate is holding us back'
How long has Southgate had? He produces a performance like that yesterday? Scotland get the ball within seconds it's heading upfield towards the England goal. England get the ball then spend the next 5 minutes passing it across field and then fail to produce an opening. Two dominoes in midfield playing pass ball and an unconnected forward line.
Kane is obviously not going to win silverware with England surprised Neville and co are not suggesting a transfer to Germany or France
Agree with this. Back to his bad habits of not passing, running up blind alleys and trying to beat the whole team on his own. Grealish didn't look any better when he came on, but I'd like to see him given more time.
Gotta ditch the double DMs, especially against sides we should be dominating possession. One of Rice or Phillips alongside Mount, with Grealish, Foden and either Sterling or Sancho supporting Kane. Kane’s been ****e in both games but if you get no service your game instantly drops to a 4/10, he’s ended up dropping two 2/10s though because the rare occasions he did have the ball he lost it or done nothing with it.
I think I would rest Kane for the Czech game. Looks leggy and maybe dropping him would fire him up for the knockout games.
Finishing second in the group is more beneficial than topping the group. Draw again on Tuesday and it’s genius from Southgate to avoid France/Germany/Portugal and instead play Sweden/Slovakia
Though it was his pass that created probably our best chance in the 2nd half that James put over. James was a great disappointment for me, I thought that he would come in and make the place his own, but either Walker or Trips will be back for the next game.
