    Yes, and there was a fan boycott for the match so the attendance was quite poor even by normal standards. Iirc about 6k?

    I think Fulham have brought in Silva partly for his contact list - Fulham seem to have a strategy of relying on loans for the last few seasons. But he left us dropping into the Championship (bloody zonal defending) because he wanted PL, so how the mighty have fallen. “Greedy bastard derderderder”?

    That was the one negative thing about his way of playing, I never liked zonal marking, and he stuck with it, even though we seem vulnerable when using it.

    Of the signings Marco Silva made which have played regularly in a top European league since?

    I'm not sure that his signings were as good as we all thought in reality. I believe Marco Silva really got them all playing above their ability and I enjoyed those six months worth of games more than any other in the Premier League aside from Phil Brown's first half of the first season.

    So yes, I think fondly of him.

    As I do I.

    None of those players have really done anything much of note since they left us, but it's good to see Makovic finally back playing regularly, he was one of the most exciting players ever to play for us (and he scored 12 in 27 for Partizan last season).
