Feels very unlikely that one, to me. If Blackpool are close to the valuation they’ll likely get there. And seeing he was there last season and they’re in the league above, I can’t see him choosing us.

 

It would be impressive if we could sign him ahead of Blackpool

 

I often wonder how journalists would know this. How does he know both are close-ish and what does it even mean? Dont mean to sound harsh but it is a bit like covering your bases isnt it?

Exactly, I'll start to get nervous if our squad is still roughly in the state it is today a few days before the end of transfer deadline day, in the meantime, to get quality you either have to overspend, have reasons why a player wants to move to a certain club or finally be patient and play the long game.

 

Not transfer related but Benji sent off for sticking the nut on at Hebburn tonight for the 23s

 

I think he'll be off with turning up late for pre season training then this

 

Seen him a fair bit for the 23s and he can be a bit spikey, not scared to dish it out and have a go at the refs. Saying that, it's just u-23s so he might shrivel if he gets a chance in big boys football. Personally I don't think he will get much of a chance here.

 

I wouldn't swap this club for any of the others mentioned on this thread ...

Did he turn up late again? Didn't have issues with time keeping a year or two back? Ended up being benched for u23's due to his timekeeping?

 

It's crackers, I can't wait to get back to the SoL on Friday, nevermind get the season started. It's been a long 16 months or so that has surely put things into perspective. The bairn (aged 9!) reckons we are going in the Colliery Tavern for 5pm Bring it on.
