<laugh> That's quite OK, Reebs, very glad you were on it too. Did you get the good price? Certainly a bit of money for Commanche Falls late on, backed down to 10/1.That Connor Beasley is riding out of his skin at the moment, ably supported by the in-form Michael Dods yard. <ok>

Not too bad, typical that the competition isn't running this week.......come back Ron. 10-1, 11-2 and 9-1 winners with 2 places.

That's very good, Bustino. Don't 'do' competitions myself; find it hard enough to find one winner, let alone a bunch of them. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I did enjoy the Virtual Betting Shop, as I wanted to see if I could stay in it without losing the one grand stake. Would have done well the last week or so, I think, but it's closed now. Come back Ron!

Frustrating sort of day with two non-runners.

I thought Great Ambassador ran a cracker in third place from his Box 7 draw. It seemed clear that the high numbers had it and he only gave way late on after leading in the closing stages. Maybe he might have won it with a better draw but it's always hard to tell for sure with these things.

The Fav ended up a ridiculous price at 5/1 and was never going before being pulled up, which must have been galling for his supporters.

I had observed that Hurricane Ivor was very inconsistent in France and he was never in it today. Gulliver ran his best race in a fair while in going close and denying a SwanHills/Grendel forecast on the race.

I managed to land my short priced double with Buckaroo and Nectaris. The Harrington horse was uneasy in the betting this morning at 7/4 but controlled the race from the front and when they looked to be coming to challenge she kicked again and came home three lengths clear. The double paid 7/2 and with two non-runners it was a small profit on the day.

I thought that was an excellent effort from Great Ambassador today. Ed Walker had said coming in that he hoped the ground would stay on the good side but it didn't and ended up soft. With the draw and relative inexperience also against him he has done really well. It seems hard to think that he once ran second to Pyledriver over 7F <yikes>

Well done all who had winners today.

Good shout Reebok with Commanche Falls as well. Horse has had a great season and will probably incur the wrath of the Handicapper now.

Another of my former selections won next time out today. Popmaster was third last time but won in good enough fashion at Doncaster today. Not a big price at 5/2 but the Walker stable are flying and the horse is now 3 wins and 4 places from 8 starts.

Was the only one of my 4 selections to win today. I find that a lot of my selections when I pick them lose but then win next time out when I desert them. Prime example was today with MR WAGYU.
