We are in our 4th season in league one and still crippled financially, we’ve sold off our best youth players for absolute peanuts to get us by. If everyone switched on earlier maybe we’d be in better shape. I just believed every word he said for about 2 year.
That Chris blokes got an ego the size of the River Wear ffs!! I'm still waiting for mine but I couldn't give zero s**te if it was posted thru my letterbox in an envelope full of horse manure as long as I get it. What's the clown want a golden ticket?
So what do we do mate, honestly. Not trust the club, be suspicious of everything they do, believe KLD is a crook or a chancer ... ... nah, balls to that, I have a match to look forward to.
but how can you enjoy the match knowing that Donald still owns part of the club and that there aren’t enough ticket staff to print a letter?
Covid, furlough and staff isolating have had a massive impact on society and business in general (SAFC and their suppliers included) and it's unprecedented. Nissan and their global billions have sent workers home from the plant and shut down lines. Nobody has been unaffected by this. When it's a level playing field I'll up my expectations. I just hope the turnstiles work on Sat.
Or you could not give a ****e about something of no real substance would be the other option. This is just old men wanting things to be like they used to be. I want a successful football team.
And there lies the problem, it’s absolutely horrendous. How long can supporters keep faith? Over 21,000 STs sold, they’re ridiculously lucky it’s that many.
Putting faith in the new ownership. It’s just what we do. We have a right to question things but we will always get behind the club.
I've spent the last 10 days trying to get proof of my no claims bonus from my old insurance company. Their office hours are 9 til 6 but ringing usually gets a message saying 'our office hours are 9 til 6, please call back during those hours.' I actually got through to a lad, obviously working from home, who said he'd pass on my request ... nothing has arrived. The whole country is a shambles, people are off work, offices are empty ... ... if not getting a pat on the back, for buying a season ticket, is so important I feel sorry for people.
Well, we've been crying out for a different approach. This is it, and people are still moaning. We can go out and buy three or four **** full backs the same as we had last season in a mad panic tomorrow, and people would immediately start whingeing that they weren't good enough. We've had three or four owners now do exactly what fans wanted and hoyed cash about like it's going out of fashion, paying 'whatever it takes', and here we are in League One. There's a section of support there is just no winning with any more. They're hardwired to piss and moan. So **** them, frankly.
Got cancer in 2012 managed to go till 2016 but my Sons and Grandsons are Season card holders I can't walk that far now
reet, no one has even suggested that the team, club, squad is in 'perfect shape', we have all expressed some doubts about the way things stand but we are putting our faith in the new regime to get it right, it was never ever suggested that the past dozen years of mis-management will be fixed in the first six months or even the first year...we have no idea about what is in the background that we, as mere supporters will never be privvy to (remember the unexpected 'extras' for that transfer we never even did?). while a little bit of negativity is ok, in fact, it is expected, there is a line between feeling 'not quite sure' about something and posting only negative comments, many a time with no substance to them whatsoever, not only posting but repeating them over and over as if somehow, that will make the rest of the board suddenly agree with every word...well, it does not, if anything it turns other posters against you (until, as @Smug in Boots quite rightly called it, they start claiming to be victims and finish with the classic 'no one will be happier than me...'). at the minute, and in case it escaped peoples attention somehow, we are in the middle of a pandemic, most companies (where possible) are still working with reduced staff and in many cases isolating staff, the more 'bumpf' that passes through peoples hands actually increases the likelihood of the virus being passed...has anyone considered these factors before jumping on the 'this club is sh1te' bandwagon?...and what difference would a nice little thank you letter make to the season or your enjoyment (yeh, i know) of the games, none at all.
