    Was it really though?

First round of the league cup against Orient and amidst these troubling times ...thought it was a tad moronic myself.

Yeah it was a bit cringey and very irresponsible in the circumstances. Imagine the impact him getting infected could have. Needs to calm down a bit, appreciate the passion but focus on the football eh?

For all but 25 minutes we were dreadful. We very luckily scraped a win. There was absolutely nothing to celebrate and the last person to flaunt a celebration ought to have been Albert. He was awful.

The friendly games have given a false sense of our abilities. We made hard work of the Cambridge game which is forgotten over the more romantic results of a win against Man U under 23’s B team and a single decent performance against an apathetic Leicester.

It is good to see passion and belonging in a player.

Even if it breaks the COVID rules.

I thought what he did was a bit over the top and unwise given the rules but I loved to see it nevertheless, real passion!

It was “a bit” excessive and possibly unwise.

He won us a cup game. He’s a hero and should be inducted into the hall of fame immediately and given a QPR fans medal (to be worn at every game he starts as a badge of honour - he can also taunt other players with: “you’ll never have one of these!”).

    Job done.

I'm a ****ing laugh riot me.

To be fair it was more the cringe factor. He tucked the pen away nicely but was perhaps our worst player on the night. Show a bit of passion by all means but what's he going to do when we win the league? Whip his knob out?

Yes, of course. But we actually have a lot of good backup options. The team we put out is stronger than a number of first teams in the championship.

In any case, I agree we could have done better. I think we have a bit of an attitude issue in the squad, with regards to having a killer instinct and having the confidence to try and outplay and overwhelm other teams.

If he wins the league for us then his knob should certainly make an appearance….it would be a sackable offence if he didn’t :)

I haven't seen a good back up option for Field's Defensive midfield role yet, don't think Ball is quite good enough. Also if Masterson does go on loan, I think we'll be down to just Dunne as the only good back up option for 3 CB's. But we'll see better after the next 3 games I reckon.

With regards to Field, having Amos and Ball as backup is not a bad situation. They are decent. Hopefully Field recovers quicker than expected.

Also, Batteche put on a good performance against LO. His long through balls weren't so great, almost always overhitting them (this can be worked on). But everything else he did was really good and he managed to keep possession really well in our half and help the defenders with keeping the ball. I thought he played his role of defensive midfielder really well.

I agree, the situation at the back does depend a bit on whether or not we loan out Masterson. However, Kakay and Ball can also play in a back three.

Would you have kept Cameron for one more year? I always thought he was better in defence than he was in midfield.

No, I'm thinking mostly about a Defensive midfielder who gives us an Aerial presence in front of the back 3 when we are for example holding a1 goal lead against a team who like to bombard us with long high balls, and is mobile and can play on the ground too. I dont think any of our current midfielders can do that other than Field and Ball, and I'm not sure Ball is a good enough. Can't really see any of our CB's playing there either. Cameron did that job well, but obviously his mobility wasn't going to improve at his age.

It was great Alfred had something to really celebrate in front of the fans. No "cringe factor" for me, just not too clever to jump into the crowd in the middle of a pandemic.

I think Ball was really good against Millwall, especially in the second half.

I was as critical as any one of him last season. However, in his first season with us, he looked like a great prospect but seemed to lose concentration as time went by.

If he can get back to the kind of focus and form he was on in his first season with us, he can definitely hold the fort until Field is back.

But let's not be pessimistic here. Our first 11 is VERY competitive in this league. And there are plenty of teams in the league who have less quality on their benches/rest of squad.
