If I was going to get a goal keeper - i would get the lad who played for Lincoln in the 1st leg of the play-off semi final. Had an air of calm confidence about him.
Another potentially great signing, exciting times ahead now. Its looking like we will have a strong back 4 in front of Burge. Feel we have goals up front too. A few more before the window closes now and it looks like we have done wonders. Expecting a big season from us, I expect those around us will be taking note.
the red and white tinted glasses on this board do make me chuckle sometimes. I'd bet good money you've never seen two of those players play a single minute of football before (and the other, just one match), but they're instantly the best defence in the league haha. Not having a go, it's great to be confident, but I tend to look at things from a fairly level-headed POV and the bias on here is funny to see sometimes
seems to me that they (those around us) went for the scattergun approach that served us so well over the past 3 seasons (that was an attempt at irony) while we have taken our time and much like the new recruitment squad have been basically hand picked to slot straight into the style the club are looking for.
I I couldn't help dreaming tonight after watching the Brentford performance and celebrations at the end there that it could well be us in 2-3 years. Exciting times
You should maybes change your name to David Moyes stupid comment. Weve signed a young lad from Spurs who wanted to keep him and who has played for England at every level so far in his career. One of Man Citys best young prospects who weve all already seen looks a cut above this level and a Danish U21 International who alot of West ham united fans are confused hes been allowed to leave after impressing pre-season and who recently cost them 1m pound (thats alot of money in this league)... Its nothing to do with being biased, its common sense really isnt it that no other team in Div 3 have players of that calibre all in a back 4. I bet youre a right barrel of laughs to watch a match with.
Lee Johnson added: “Frederik is a player that we have followed closely throughout the past six months, so we are delighted to welcome him to the club. He’s a high-quality footballer, and an Under-21 international, and this is a great opportunity for him to continue his development at senior level, having experienced regular first-team action during his time in Denmark. He is good on the ball, tall and mobile and we now have real strength in depth in central defence.”
It looks that way to me too (yes it definitely was the way forward for us as well ). It’s easier to panic when you see rivals doing that (as a fan) rather than trust the new owner and the back room team he has assembled. I must say I was a little worried but have just tried to keep my mouth shut to see how it played out. Not as worried now, excited to see who we can add before the window closes.
if the club can 'come to some agreement' with grigg and get someone similar to SKP in place i will be happy, i think as it stands we have a strong 1st team and can now get a decent bench out. by 'similar to SKP' i dont mean 30 goals a season (but i would not refuse as long as the fecker enjoyed it) but that type of player, reading the knock ons and able to pull a goal from nothing.
Aw man, can't this club do anything right! Got to go cap in hand now whenever I meet up with my West Ham supporting friend now Almost getting excited about this season now - better go and have a lay down until I get over it
