TS has come into football with no previous experience, and hasn't got everything right yet. Maybe the appointment of Ged Roddy was an expensive mistake, if so hopefully he'll rectify it. Quote by Adkins:
"I've been in with Ged and Ruben to get up to date with recruitment". No-one knows who Ruben is, but Gallen seems to have been sidelined, the same Gallen who brought in Cullen, Gallagher, Bielik, Taylor.

    And a signing.......

    https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/61...dicks-sign-pacey-winger-corey-blackett-taylor

Can't say I'm overwhelmed by this. His record is very average at L1 or lower. Look at the names in the black and white one's last post....does anyone think Blackett-Taylor will turn out to be the next one of them ?

Don't get me wrong, I'll give the lad a chance and I hope he proves me wrong and turns out to be as good as his namesake Taylor (although hopefully more loyal) but I don't think he's the sort of player we need to make a major difference to our squad, which is what the squad needs.

I will never criticise a player for being the best he can be, but players have limits to what they can achieve depending on their technical ability and attitude. I think we need to be aiming higher.

He's only signed until January, so he can't have impressed that much and apparently "his fitness is improving" <whistle>

I guess we'll see what he can do as & when he is match fit. Anything better than average will be a pleasant surprise.

It's like it is just a toy for them to have, no actual care about its future.

Don't know too much about him but sounds like he can do a job for us, and in a position we needed cover in. Looks like Albie can have day off on saturday,

Never seen him, but everyone (except the usual suspects) seems pleased about it so that's good.

If he's not fit to wear the shirt I'm sure the helpful fans will tell him so.

By the way Dick Plumb reckons we have a premier loanee incoming for the defence - may not arrive today.

Pleased with Harry Arter, liked him when he played for our Yoof. I think we could see some surprises before the window slams shut. Where is Ronnie Schwartz?

    18 hours to go...:emoticon-0158-time:

Are we going to ship anyone out?
How many over 21 players are we allowed to have? Some say 20, others say 22. Why aren't the rules clear on this?
    Another deadline day :steam:

Does my head in trying to work out who can stay and who is a misfit - I'm happy to let the club sort it out. My feeling is we should maybe ship a couple out on loan (Barker and Vennings for example, though I believe that doesn't free up any spaces). But we still need fresh blood.

I reckon we're waiting until 12.01 to finalise a couple of top class signings.........

and then have them rejected by the EFL
