Actually liked watching that. Goals look great from that angle, and to be fair what a header their goal was in truth.
The young lad commentating sounds like a well rounder young lad, gives credit where its due and loves his team well done young man, better than most barcodes
presently, i don't mind gooch...defenders never know what he is going to do next, they can't show him to his left or right, they don't want him cutting in or going wide, the problem is, i don't think gooch is always sure about what to do next and looks to be the most frustrated lad on the pitch. i know it is only a few games in but i feel he needs to be dropped so he can get his head right and calm himself down, there is no doubting that he he just wants to be on the pitch and winning but at his age his decision making should be much better as well as being able to control his emotions...good player, especially at this level but really needs to keep a calm head.
100% mate. I’m not for a second suggesting he’s of no value or should be binned, but he’s got to start doing it regular. Hopefully Dajaku pushes him along.
watching it back on the highlights i knew it was a very good header but was surprised to see that the hoff actually managed to get a touch on it, not an easy thing to do as the ball was powered in from fairly close range.
yeh i was not disagreeing with you and from crowd reaction most can see his value and probably feel his frustration, almost willing the lad to score. nowt like that little bit of competition though, gooch and geads have pretty much had an almost guaranteed starting spot when fit and i feel that can give a player a little too much 'security', now they are both going to have to improve to keep those spots.
he needs some attention to sort his head out, so he calms down when it comes to finishing or final pass. Or he’ll learn the harder way. With dajaku, broadhead and even Huggins chomping for a place, he is under pressure…. And we need to improve our chance conversion ratio
Agreed, I like him too, puts a shift in, just a pity he isn't performing consistently. Hopefully mixing it up with new signings as you say will give him more of what he needs, be it rest, desire, etc. Edit. Desire is the wrong word as i think he has it in spades. Reassess maybe
I too worry about Luke’s continuing arm problem. It can’t help when his arm keeps falling off and he just shoves it back in again and carries on. Other teams are targeting his shoulder area. Anybody have any idea how long he would be out if he was to have it fixed properly?
I think LJ mentioned 10-12 weeks if he had to get in 'pinned'. The other thing is that it's potentially one sub used up if it gets worse which isn't ideal and the number of games will ramp up now to the old Sat/Tue/Sat. Once Huggins settles in Winchester could go back to midfield and we could look to get it sorted out properly.
Taken from https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/dislocated-shoulder/ Recovery time You can stop wearing the sling after a few days, but it takes about 12 to 16 weeks to completely recover from a dislocated shoulder. You'll usually be able to resume most activities within 2 weeks, but should avoid heavy lifting and sports involving shoulder movements for between 6 weeks and 3 months.
So if for instance he did a hamstring, heaven forbid, and is going to be out for a while he might as well have the shoulder surgery.
I'd be looking to get it done if I was LJ. The ****ers at this level will target it, and, as what happened on Saturday, a routine fall to floor popped it out then I can't see how it's sustainable to let it go on
