Who I want to see start tonight, Huggins, Alves, Evans, Pritchard, Djaku, O,Brien.
Still struggling to see why O'Brien hasn't had a look in since his hat trick.

I'm thinking why not keep Hoffman in goal for tonight, he's not had much senior football in England so keep him in as much as possible. Can only be good for his experience. If it's true what upthere over the road is saying about burge then **** him

    I'd go

    Hoffmann
    Huggins Flanagan Alves Cirkin
    Evans Winchester
    Dajaku Pritchard O'Brien
    Broadhead

Subs: Burge, Hume, Wright, Neil, Embleton, McGeady, Stewart

If we play Hoffman, and he's injured, we're left with an even more annoyed Burge ...

... if he's angry, about being left out, I'd say that's a positive tbh.

There's no way Hoffman will play when the defence will be different to Saturday. He already knows how to be a goalkeeper and I doubt a cup match, with half a dozen changes, will teach him much.

I would play the Hoff, and Flanners with the rest of the team made up with players that were not in the starting eleven at Fleetwood, plus a strong bench, and only use them, if the game is still in the balance on 80 minutes. Really hope we win but its not as important as the league this season, Wembley or not, in fact I don't want to see us get to Wembley again until we are well and truly established in the Championship or even higher.

I reckon that our bench/reserves are much better than theirs so I'm going for 1-3 to the lads.

This, but with Burge or Patto starting in goal. If Burge has spat the dummy out, start Patto and Burge can GTF.

I'd play Hoffman too the quicker he makes the acquaintance of all our defenders the better. He's still finding his feet and needs minutes in the team to get him up to speed for the league.

alves, O Brien, Huggins, all the new signings need to play, no cups are bigger than promotion, although it does give other players chance to get into the first team. No shirt pulling tonight though lads ! mind that Burnley penalty was the most cast iron never given last week, shocking.

I'd have this team too. If he leaves Alves out again the lad might aswell go back to West ham. We had a similar situation last season with Sanderson, folk wondering what he had to do to get a start etc. Then Johnson was literally forced to play him and lo and behold he ended up our best defender.

I think Johnson played him in his second or third game tbf.

Incidentally, who would you drop for Alves on Saturday.

I'd have started him last Saturday instead of Wright, said the very same on the RTG match thread just after teams were announced so wasn't particularly a hindsight comment. Alright, he might've come in and had a ****e game and not been up to it, we don't know, but we know Wright is awful (imo anyway). He's been terrible ever since Johnson came in and switched to a back four.

That's fair enough mate but who would you leave out on Saturday.

I think Alves is a very good player and think Doyle needs a rest soon, he's played a lot for someone his age.

Ah sorry, thought you meant last Saturday, I'd stick with Flanagan and Doyle. My initial point was if he has Alves on the bench tonight and goes with Wright and Flanagan then he might aswell not be here. Alves should be the next in line to come in after Flanagan and Doyle, not Wright. If he comes in and has a blinder then he should stay in.
