Just been referred to Hooiveld's tw@tter - looks like he is really loving it: http://twitter.com/#!/joshooiveld20
Hey good to hear from you was wondering where you were and how you were. Anyway you could at least make it a ruddy shandy.............I keep waving by the way with me scarf..,,,And when you throw the ruddy sandwiches could you please make it something other than cheese......not good for me health that....especially as the brick you tie them to reaches me first......
We've assumed before that we have a deal in place and nothing's come of it. Jos was asked when he came and he said he didn't know, said perhaps Saints would want him or Celtic or neither. He also said that he'd been told that Southampton had palm trees and was a tropical paradise
If I buy him flowers can I have his children? Also surprised in the SPL is a bit rubbish debate no one has mentioned a certain Scott Mcdonald. Pants at Saints (well attitude wise anyway) bees knees in the SPL.
He's a regular starter at Boro. Also, although he's Australian, he has a lot of Scottish heritage - hence the name. I think he did the best thing for himself by playing in the SPL, after leaving Saints.
From the same research: You find in You Tube also a small film about the championship of AIK. In that film he told the people he had written a song for AIK: on the melody of Oh when the saints..... he is singin: w're gonna win, we're gonna win the championsleague..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gqBRVtKnhg it's just fun googleing "Jos Hooiveld", some really nice pictures and very laughable.
With the total exception of the Old Firm two, friends of mine in Scotland (both scots!) freely say that Scottish football is a mess. You only need to look at the gates each week - outside the big two, the combined gates of the rest of the division would not match the 32000 at St Marys last night. I can,t think of any scottish players who are stars in the championship.
Things aren`t great in the SPL - no TV money. The international team is improving (majority now are in the EPL, not Championship !) This thread is turning a bit parochial - suffice to say I`m proud 3 of the 12 on duty during Saints greatest day in 1976 were Scots. Come on you Saints !
