I know he is one of our own but asking for Dawson to take the helm is another recipe for disaster.. I recall his stint at Scunthoroe didn't particularly go well, the shrudest way to go if there is a sale in the waiting would be to get that identified manager in now, give him chance to organise what he has got and then add to it come the transfer window. I'd love it to be Wilder, because that is exactly what we need now, someone who can organise and is tactically smart.

 

On the contrary, Marshall is a perfect example of what we couldn't afford. We let him go because we didn't want to pay his wage. He went to Wigan which says a lot about our spending power. Agree totally. If this weeks games confirm that McCann can't turn it around then we have nothing to loose by putting a coaching team in place and bedding them in so they know what they're working with ahead of the January window.

The only way he'll go barring new ownership is if he finally admits to himself that either he's not up to the job or that he's operating under such tight restrictions from the owner that it makes it appear like he's not up to the job, and he resigns.
