There's a strong possibility he will be at the game Saturday. The £20m add on is £5m more then I'd heard but it's here nor there... Hopefully it's finally close
Because it's what they agreed on as part of the sale... Potentially £50m for the allams and people still think they are bad businessmen
Many on here have said it before. But more importantly, are you looking forward to going back to games? ( Obviously when it's official )
Wow. IF that is correct, £30mill + potential of another £20mill is hell of a price to pay! Not a bad return on a gift.
It will be absolutely wonderful to once again, wake up in the morning and as I'm coming round, to suddenly realise 'Oh myself, it's matchday! Go get a full English, meet up with some mates' Get out there and make some noise'
Others can call me a doom merchant if they want, BUT 30 million sounds a lot for what we have, and why more if new owners invest and improve enough to get us promoted? sounds an unusual clause. Will Mike Ashley get more if (sorry when) Newcastle win the league
Of course, that wasn't the point of my question. It was how could it be morally justified.... Football business success is measured in more than money buddy... If we asked the great Tiger Nation if they were good owners, waddya reckon they'd vote?
I suppose it's all relative to how you look at it.... Headline without the detail is they will leave us in a better position then when they bought us. ( Best years we have ever had league wise, Cup run wise and Europe, we have seen probably the best players we have ever seen come in under their ownership, the academy set up is absolutely light years ahead of where it was when they came. Most importantly we will be left debt free with no huge legacy contracts left to fund or transfer fees outstanding ) but that's ignoring the idiotic things they have done. But fortunately ( in my opinion ) the idiotic things they have done will be resigned to the history books and won't effect us going forward. But the good things I highlighted above will help us massively now moving forward ( with new owners ) be a much better club and prospect. The fat lady isn't singing yet, bit she's clearing her throat
£30 million plus add-ons....Geez......Daylight robbery! Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a *mask..... *Pre covid 19
