So assuming that we're back to the usual formation, this is the test for Redmond. Back as an attacking midfielder, can he reproduce the top form he showed in the past two games when through the middle. Fingers crossed.
Fine with that team, given Stuey isn't fully fit yet and it was obvious JWP was coming in for Diallo. Redmond needs to have a good game today.
For me it's not up to Redmond to prove himself, but rather Che and Adam A, seeing as Redders has shown that he can do the job that they have hitherto failed at.
I read a quote from Ralph saying that Redmond can’t expect to keep starting if he doesn’t start scoring. Possibly drinking in the last chance saloon today.
No one else apart from Broja is scoring though. I can't understand the pressure being put on Redmond at all.
Oh I agree. Redmond has been one of our better players of late, and Ralph not dropping him is probably recognition of that. I am hoping that Ralph is just geeing him up a bit, in an attempt to get the end result out of him.
Have to admit that, when I saw our subs bench on the BBC website, I had to check who Silveira Neves Vojnovic was. They could have just put Lyanco.
Funny thing is he should be rightfully ahead of Adams and A Armstrong as a forward at the moment, both of them should be dropped in favour of him if there isn’t space up front on current form. I wouldn’t force him to the wing and deny him a forward spot unless we really have to. He may not have scored but he has two assists from the last two PL games and should have had more if it wasn’t for deficiencies elsewhere. Pressure is on Adams and Adam Armstrong for me, not Redmond.
