Just watched the end of the Niger Djibouti World Cup qualifier. Every time the commentator said Djibouti the subtitles came up as "a boutique". That isn't how I think of Djibouti.
    Niger won 7-2.

Have only just noticed the San Marino v England result from last night - a tad embarrassing for the sport really, although I've witnessed worse. I'm not really sure what can be done to avoid such games in future - run a Minnow's World Cup in parallel?

Most of those San Marino players wouldn't get a look in in National League South over here on what I saw.

San Marino are particularly bad but they are literally part timers who have other jobs compared to other countries even of the same sort of standards.

Some minnows definitely improve but these guys won’t.

It certainly was handy we had them and Andorra in our group - boosted the goal tally.

Certainly boosted Kanes goal tally, the seven goals pulled him level with Rooney and another couple of friendlies might help him beat the overall goals scored for England, then of course in the World Cup itself he can meander around in midfield pretending to be the captain

Mex, how did the Canadian choice of cold Edmonton go down in Mexico? For those who are unaware, Canada beat Mexico 2-1 in the cold. Canada are now top of the final qualification table.

I was frozen just watching it. Sure, Mexico will qualify, they have nice fixtures on the run in.

It has been a wonderful display from Stockport tonight. Takes me back to the days when Watford were the underdogs, yet managed to somehow win.

Including when we were 3-0 v Bolton with 20 minutes to go in the 90s.

    Credit to Stockport.

Great comeback and some very good goals .

Decent sized crowd for the Grimsby v Southend match tonight. Shame about the game though, Southend don't appear to have turned up. Ex Hornet Sam Dalby on the bench for them - he must be bad if he can't make their starting team.

Leicester have identified former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard as a candidate to replace Brendan Rodgers as manager after the Foxes fell to 12th in the Premier League table following their 3-0 defeat by the Blues on Saturday. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

    We couldn't could we

That would be Karma, Poetic justice and sweet revenge all rolled into one

Not a huge surprise, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been moved on. Why do some of these guys, who can well afford to spend the winter months somewhere warmer than an English training ground, keep returning for further punishment? I see that Mr. Integrity is in the frame as a possible replacement.

Not often a sacked manager gets to do a farewell interview with the club in-house TV channel .

Can anyone explain the meaning of "build a sustainable kit culture"?

To be honest, I can't see how this makes football more affordable for fans. No-one is forced into buying a replica shirt at all, nevermind every season - surely they only do so if they want to and can afford to?

Maybe it's just me, though - I haven't viewed any of the club shirts since 1968 as something I'd like to wear - and the more modern ones are just too garish for my sense of sartorial elegance. Give me my old yellow and black scarf any day...

Potentially Scotland v Wales could meet up for a place in the World Cup - as in 1977 and 1985.

As could Italy and Portugal so a big name will miss out.
