Was you in the TA's or Regulars mate?
Was you on the Reserve List for 3yrs after you came out of uniform?

Be good to get AP back at the club in some capacity especially in the interim to aid the transition I am sure he'd accept.

Did that happen in WW2? Maybe for people like him involved in covert operations. My mum and dad never had to sign the secrets act. Have read a few books by her commanding officer. The fact those people could write profitable books and he couldn't was what probably pissed him off.

Why do so many City fans hark back to people previously associated with the club? He is a rugby man now.

Because he's got a proven track record of rebuilding a broken Hull City? It'd be strange not to want that really. Same for Bruce as manager.

As for him being a rugby man now, he's been trying to get a takeover bid going for City for the last few years so he clearly still has an interest.

He's got a track record of flogging us in his own interest. Fair play for the initial resurrection but his involvement with City since Taylor left hasn't exactly been deserving of his status amongst some.

I study ancient Germanic languages like Old English, Old Norse, Old High German etc. that have umlaut to varying degrees so I get most of it from textbooks, not Google. The Germanic language that shows the least amount of umlaut or none at all is also the one with no surviving descendant - Gothic. It’s why Gothic is so important for reconstructing Proto-Germanic, as it had the most archaic vowels.

Don't really know what you're on about. His spell working as a consultant under Bartlett and then the Allams? Was there something you feel he should have done better in that spell?

Maybe City should bring Dolan and Lloyd in? They have experience at lower levels. Or Hateley?
