You would like to think so, but it makes me wonder if it's over stretching your actual capabilities rather than something more sinister
Lots of info out there. Heart inflammation can occur usually in males aged under 30 within a week of having their 2nd jab (67 per million) accoriding to one thing i read. The damage to the heart from the virus is more severe
I was at the Dentist, (female) and she, her assistant (female) and I were talking about the risks of the vaccine. They made the point that with the contraceptive pill, there was a 1 in 100,000 chance of a complication. With the Covid19 vaccine there was a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of a complication. Ie the vaccine was 10 times less likely to cause a complication. Do we even know if Wyke has had the vaccine? Perhaps he is having to run quicker and more often at Wigan than he did for us? Do we know his diagnosis or is it all speculation?
Thanks Gordon... A golf buddy, 'a gasman' anesthetist says he is hardly doing any operations cos the ICU, is filling up with Covid19 seriously ill patients who have not been vaccinated. This is infuriating to a few other golf partners cos they are waiting for routine, knee or hip surgery. Postponed cos there is no room in ICU for initial post op care.
Someone seriously needs to investigate any link between these occurrences and the number of games being played. It’s also the high training levels in between games as players just aren’t getting a rest. Yeah these are top athletes but playing three games in a week for example is still way too much. Yet the people at the top seem to want to cram even more matches in (World Cup plans etc) purely for greed.
I’m a stats man. It’s what I do for a living (program reports for the NHS). People ignore percentages completely when it’s something which can furnish an agenda. I agree COVID has been a bastard, but ffs, there are higher percentages of problems with a lot of over the counter medication. Even some of the stuff we give our kids. But because COVID causes so much news, people refuse and think that it causes problems! Look at the numbers. There was a Newcastle radio lass who died because of complications of the virus, on her death bed she said she wouldn’t change it as she did what was statistically the right thing.
Good point that. I wonder how many effort races Mo Farah did in a year? Or Bolt? Nowhere near as many as the games these lads play. I run. I’m in a running club. Told to train at 80/20 where 80% of my running is at eady, low impact pace and the other 20 at effort. This is from professional coaches and they say the same to all ages if people. I very much doubt that footballers, particularly in the lower leagues, get that chance
Yes some good points. When playing and training a device put onto the players gives the coachs info about, distance/speed, heart rate etc. I expect this data is used to push the players harder or to point out they are shirking.... its hardly surprising more are breaking down as they go past their physical limits.
Complications with virus or vaccine. We have both been vaccinated, all my side of the family have. Mrs side no one has apart her and brothers gf who wasn't going to until it was jab or job!
I'm just curious... If the scientists tell us that this new variant isn't protected by the jabs we have now. Will everybody be prepared to line up and go through another two or three jabs? I won't, tbh.
This is a good read... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ine-rant-discussing-John-Fleck-TalkSport.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...John-Flecks-pitch-collapse-NOT-Covid-jab.html
I realise that they are the mail but the scientific quotes and the club quotes are all over the internet
Yes of course, because what's the alternative? 2-3 lockdowns every year for the rest of time? Don't see what the issue is in getting the jab.......
I've had my jabs. I've done the right thing by locking down and wearing my mask. There's a limit to how much they can expect the younger generations to keep going through. I'm not prepared to keep going through jabs every year because there's new variants. If I was older then I'd probably think differently.
Doesn't look like Charlie had his, wonder how many others haven't bothered? https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport...-dismisses-covid-19-vaccine-rumours-collapse/
