Easy to get excited by talk of new investors, but what really matters is which shares they're buying. If its Donald and Methven's then I'll crack a few cans open. If not then it doesn't materially affect much. I mean let's say kld is prepared to invest £100m (pie in the sky, out of thin air) into his 50% (for arguments sake) share. If someone buys half of his shares then presumably kld would only be prepared to invest £50m since he only owns 25%. So even if the other person will invest £50m with their 25% we aren't actually any "richer" despite another wealthy person being involved. If its buying the others out (which I can only assume it would be) then its good news. They could presumably match KLD's investment, they might bring something to the table in terms of experience. And crucially it gets rid of them from our lives. I don't think some of the fan base will ever really get behind anything while they're lurking in the background. And rightly so, they're arseholes. They're worse than a lot of people think tbh, we need rid of them. I'm assuming it's them being bought out. My only concern is why they'd allow themselves to be. Unless they're getting a hell of a price, being bought out now would likely get rid of their plans for making a profit. Can't see why they'd do it tbh. Not saying it isn't happening but it doesn't make sense from their side
RAWA have no interest in instigating anything tbh. Most of us were buzzing with the takeover because we want to get involved with enjoyable things. Fan experience stuff, fan displays, working to help local charities etc. There's no desire for it to be a full time protest group. If that was the aim I'd have **** all to do with it. But if fans (or RAWA members at least) are concerned about stuff then, as a fans group, that has to be represented or they aren't doing their role.
To be honest mate, this is where it goes wrong for me. If the club want to divulge the share distribution they will. If they don't wish to then no amount of 'concerned supporters' will push them into it. Sometimes people have to just accept that there are things which are none of their business. Especially when their concerns are slightly witless ... ... KLD has control of the club and the buck stops with him. No matter what the answer to these concerns may be those people will find a way to fret about it. We're supposed to be primarily supporters but some seem to prefer to be Internet barristers and accountants.
I get that completely mate. Being honest I wouldn't expect them to divulge it. But when fans are asking about it (which they were, especially after the photo of Methven and sartori emerged) I'd expect a fans group to ask about it. That's all RAWA can do, but I'd expect them to do it. I'm not massively worried as long as KLD is calling the shots which it sounds like he is. I'll be concentrating on supporting the lads. We're still in with a shout of top two so I don't want owt off the pitch to derail anything, but it had to be asked
Well that's got to be good then. Either lessen the shares of twit and twat (although I still don't see why they'd agree to sell before any profit), or get rid of sartori who tbf has hardly been committed since he came in (banging on about Uruguayans who wouldn't get a work permit or ****ing off to try and be president). As long as KLD remains fully committed I'm happy enough, the others I can take or leave
I really believe KLD Will get it right, got the money and loves football ,the will Be some hard times when the fans will Be tested,
At least it's now known that automatic promotion is the aim for this season. They said it at the meeting I was at back in May (I think it was) but it wasn't minuted at the time so I wasn't meant to mention it. People were saying it was too much of a long term plan and Johnson would be forgiven if we didn't go up etc. That's not the case. They expect promotion
Personally i don't think Sartori has done anything wrong. If anything i'd hazard a guess that he grew disillusioned with the antics of the gimp and salmon pants.
