I’ll be taking on the Skelton hotpot in the Peterborough chase with funambule sivola. Most of the Skelton horses at the moment travel like the winner but when the pressure is applied their jumping falls apart. I expect Charlie Deutsch to be travelling just of the shoulder until coming off the final bend only to take it up two out, and the mud will be flying today.
Hopefully the starters will be punctual today - 13:52 Peterborough Chase 14:00 John Durkan 14:20 Hilly Way Lovely jubbly
Slightly strange that Willie has booked Bryony for one ride in the big race on 50/1 roughie. Show of support perhaps?
Couldn’t agree more, however that isn’t why she is riding in Ireland today. I’d put her ahead of Cobden at Nicholls’ and to be honest she’d be very high on the list of jockeys I’d choose to ride any horse.
Fair enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if she upped sticks and went to Ireland where they’ll appreciate her talents.

Hope not for UK racing but you could hardly blame her if she did. Hopefully next week the Dunne hearing finishes with a proper solution and racing adapts to being inclusive and perhaps even progressive. I won’t hold my breath.
A ripping good renewal of the John Durkan - so good in fact, I’m not even going to worry about who might win. Just sit back and enjoy. Hoping to see special things from Kilcruit and Energumene too. Fully agree with the Bryony comments - but which Mullins is she in a relationship with?
The way the Mullins horses ran yesterday you would almost want to put a line through all of his today!
Just 1 winner from his last 22 runners - enough to put you off taking short prices about his, that's for sure I suspect Leopardstown at Christmas, Fairyhouse in February, Cheltenham in March, Liverpool in April and Punchestown in May is what he really cares about though.
That 3/1 about Kilcruit never appeared, did it?!? Can't wait to see him debut though. That bumper performance from the old boy at last terms Dublin Racing Festival has to be one of the best National Hunt Flat race displays in my lifetime, Fab-u-lus! Energumene seasonal bow also greatly anticipated.
I'd forgotten all about Ferny Hollow too .............. very good beginners chase at Punchsestown yet he is just 4/9 . Yard out of form, not been seen on the track for a year and making chase debut. Awfully short.
