Just one on block...I have zero tolerance for abject stupidity, really can't be arsed to even read what the moron says. There are a couple who are relatively new that seem to have massive chips on their shoulders and seem to go out of their way to disrupt threads, something I do not understand. This predominantly is a football forum to discuss all things Sunderland, joking and banter is part and parcel...but when it starts getting personal and poisonous I think the Mods should step in and deal with it swiftly....No place for that c rap....nobody appreciates a key board warrior.

 

A few who act/have acted like paid up members of the national front.

Each to their own but I just don't need to see that.

 

I’ll trust the mods to deal with it, acts all sanctimonious and then sends horrific photos of dismembered black people and porn to others, zero credibility, absolute scum.

No-one on "ignore" but one or two I simply ignore on the basis their patter is lifting and their viewpoints are unacceptable to me. C'est la vie.

 

There are millions of forums where people can endlessly insult each other, post swear words/naked pictures/etc, have infantile slanging matches with Mags, etc or play political ping-pong where no one ever listens let alone changes their minds.

Yet a handful of people want to bring that onto a little football forum where most people just ramble on about SAFC, the matches, signings, etc.

If they want forums that suit their tastes there are plenty ...

.... but there seems to a subtext of pretending to love this forum while trying to change it to suit them or pop on simply to disrupt it.

As many have said, this is basically a Sunderland forum for Sunderland fans to talk about Sunderland, I like that and is the only reason I come on here.

If it only had the other subjects I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

There are two main things that irritate me on this forum and in life in general; arrogance and spreading/repeating/believing incorrect or inaccurate information (as this leads to misunderstanding, which leads to animosity, which leads to hate).
I've got one poster on ignore for the first of these crimes. I like hearing differing opinions- surely that's the point of a forum? What makes me laugh is the one or two posters who go on to Off Topic threads and then hit the ignore button on anyone who's opinion is different to their own. Why post on a forum if you only want to exist in an echo chamber? Seems pathetic to me.

No one on ignore. I , like probably most, rely on skim ignore and sense what or who you want to pass by. Shame because some interesting threads come to an end because of individual argument. As I’ve said in the past , this forum can provide a wealth of knowledge , experience and even wisdom - sometimes I feel I’ve learnt something , even though the writer may be someone I wouldn’t want to give the time of day to . I would just ask for people to fair enough state their opposing views - but when it resorts to personal individual slagging off , then take it to private message between yourselves
