Nice to see Lieutenant Henderson running one on the level this early in the year. Insert your own joke here if you wish!

Is 7 January a record for the old boy???

Dreadful news. I'm sure I speak for everyone on the forum when I say I wish the great man a most speedy and full recovery.

There has over the past 24 hours been a little bit of money for Impulsive One in this terms 'Boodles' at the Festival. Looking at his current mark over hurdles though (127) he wouldn't be guaranteed, by any means, getting in the race.

    Absolutely.

The great man has obviously used his time wisely this morning as he has identified a possible race for Jonbon - this from Sporting Life:

“Jonbon is in fine fettle and will have one more run before Cheltenham,” said Henderson of his Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite. Where that will be hasn’t entirely been decided but favourite at the moment is looking like Haydock on the 22nd for the Grade Two Rossington Main Novices’ Hurdle. There’s also the Listed Sidney Banks at Huntington on February 10, but I think we’ll save Balco Coastal for that race instead.”

Since the old Fred Winter started, 161 horses have run in the race from a mark of 127 or lower. Three who ran off 127 have won (Flaxen Flare, Une Artiste and Sanctuaire). The horse with the lowest mark to win the race is What A Charm who won off 115!!

The main spread of winners is 124 to 134 with that magic 127 having 3 winners from 23!

    FOREVER BLESSED (IRE)
    FOREVER WILLIAM (GB)
    IMPULSIVE ONE (USA)
    INTERNE DE SIVOLA (FR)
    IROKO (FR)
    MESSAGE PERSONNEL (FR)
    SAINT SEGAL (FR)
    TOO FRIENDLY (GB)
    YORKSEA (IRE)

Those are the only UK horses rated 124 to 134, the one I like in that list is Interne De Sivola. I wonder if the horse is priced up.

Seven Barrows still searching for their first winner of 2022 - now 0/15 thus far this year. With a formline of -26P7P0PP3685P34.

They have got 2 runners tomorrow (both in early heats at Wincanton) before Constitution Hill goes to post in the Tolworth. Should the tally have reached 0/17, by then, you do have to wonder if that will lead to a big drift re the fave in the main event of the morrow. Could Constitution Hill end up at a price agreeable to a simple working man?!?

127 though wouldn't have got you in 2 out of the last 3 runnings of the Boodles.

Can't see your Interne De Sivola quoted but do note that, right now, Britzka is almost 'blue' across the board on Oddschecker and as low as 8/1. The latter named set to have his 3rd run over hurdles at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
