I think it's you that is portraying a one sided story!! You have a massive vested interest. Just as it's great that there are so many young kids now training in the black & amber and that the Trust & OSC have created a great place, that doesn't mean that it all had to be done by hijacking the community asset and in the way it was done. The stadium itself has facilities that could, and indeed are, used for instance. The cafe / bar was there before the hijacking; I used it on occasions (yes, it could have been improved, but again that's a different matter). The point that r&r's were needed is also irrelevant. All such facilities need r&r's. That was already the responsibility of the SMC (the Allams) irrespective. As said, they chose to take on the SMC. The eviction was an utter disgrace. With the money they've had, the Allam's could & should either have built other facilities or at the very least worked constructively with the council and the community organisations well in advance to find, plan, provide, alternative solutions rather than the overnight evictions and takeover. But no, they acted in their typical despicable way, and I find it hard to understand how anyone can seriously defend them. Yes, it's great to have the positives that the Airco now brings, but it should never have been achieved in the way it was. As a City fan, it sickened & embarrassed me at the time that 'my' football club was behind such an act. Thankfully the despicable pair (in relation to 'our' football club) will shortly be gone for good.
Increased ticket sales from having a confirmed new owner for the new match; the ability to confirm signings who could then be presented on the pitch before the game to supporters; the fact that the certainty and optimism around the takeover could help motivate the players to a win against Everton; that announcing the takeover moments before the game could have the reverse effect on the players by distracting them; I could go on.. that enough?
The fact journalists are probably keeping a track on the companies house website to see if they transfer has gone through so it'll leak before?
It won't necessarily go up on the Companies House website immediately, there's usually at least a 48 hour delay. Southampton advised the change of ownership on Dec 22nd and it didn't go up on the website until Jan 4th.
I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Looking at the ticket availability map for the game, there's only the South stand left. With the upper west closed, we'll have a couple of thousand tickets left at most. Any 'boost' would only be small as we've already had a good uplift. We don't have a 1 million + audience very often at all in the UK, never mind globally so it's a massive opportunity for us. Acun will want to make a big deal out of this, he already has done on Turkish TV so he won't become all reserved over here. If the deal was completed today but not announced we could still parade new signings on the pitch. I think the psychology of the players is nonsense, they'll know exactly what's happening and will have for some time regardless of what they say to the media.
That's not correct, BT Sport only average about 500k, but Sky average 1.3m every game and the BBC generally get 3-4m for an average FA Cup game.
been praying my daughters dance show gets postponed , but selfishly still going ahead tomorrow . keep checking that small print Ehab , no rush..
I genuinely fully believe he’s doing it on TV it makes so much sense it’s untrue. Big Dick Acun isn’t going to be arsed by an extra 1000 tickets at £15. He’s going global babyyy.
