So, sounds like Hoffmann and Dajaku back but Pritchard possibly out

Be good to see Hoffmann back in goal - last few games have shown that Patterson isn't quite ready

Top class thread again RTB. Excellent insight into Accrington's injuries and departures.

Normally I would have plumped for bringing Dajaku straight back in for Gooch, but if Trai Hume is going to be starting then Gooch might give him better support.

Without Evans or Winny and possibly Pritchard the midfield is a concern. If Pritchard is missing I would like to move Embleton into that role and maybe use Xhemajli as a midfield enforcer. Embleton and Neil as sitting midfielders doesn't seem to work.

Accrington seem to go through spells where they are flying or prolonged slumps. Unfortunately, they are going through one of their good spells at the minute, so we have to be wary. Heart says 2-1 Sunderland, head says 1-1. Won't be too disappointed with either, but after the other night, defeat is unthinkable.

I was about 25 yards away from the fracas and my impression was that their player(s) basically went through Johnson to try to get at Doyle. My thoughts were that he got a red card for being assaulted and defending himself.
However there was quite a crowd in the technical area and I have not watched the tv coverage.
Been annoyed with him getting the yellow cards, but I think the red card was a joke.

1 point from the last 6 has meant we’ve definitely lost ground on Rotherham & Wigan who have games they should win. Therefore I think this a MUST WIN and the pressure will be on.
But HAWAY this is Accrington Feckin Stanley
    FFS!!!
    1-3 to The Lads.

I'm hoping fir a quick bouncebackability result, if only to stop the 'Streaky Johnson' comments that the 'sheep will undoubtedly regurgitate again in their tracks. Ffs.

Hopefully their pitch is a damn sight better than ours. Also hoping some if not all of our team turn up for this one. We went from the sublime of the Wednesday demolition to utter utter f*cking w*nk against a poor Lincoln side.
I have no idea what happened in our last game but we cannot let it happen again.

    HA'WAY THE LADS MACKEMS ATTACKEM

Thank fook it's a 3pm kick off ffs cos am on night shift again.
Nice to hear some players coming back from injury and hopefully we get back on track after recent disappointment.

Accrington is a town in the Hyndburn borough of Lancashire, England. It lies about 4 miles east of Blackburn, 6 miles west of Burnley, 13 miles east of Preston, 20 miles north of Manchester city centre and is situated on the mostly culverted River Hyndburn.
This small market town is famous for manufacturing the hardest building bricks in the world. These have been used in Blackpool Tower and The Empire State Building!

    Famous people from Accrington include.

    Julie Hesmondhalgh.
(Say that fooker after a few pints, and you'd had a fair few if you fancy it as she played the he/she Hayley cropper in Corrie.)

Vicky entwhistle , )janice battersby Corrie battleaxe.)

Ron Hill, (runner, remember the running pants, blue with thin red stripe ?.)

Margaret Anne lake, (mystic Meg, news of the world astrologer before it's demise. Apparently she didn't see it coming.)

Only bit of skirt I could find was Diana Vickers, (an X factor finalist apparently.)

Downloaded the above pic then noticed another, so I thought since Accy doesn't seem renowned for decent fadge Diana can have two :D

Remember lads, drink your milk or you'll only ever be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley, whoever the fook they are ;)

In todays other L1 games 6 of the top 10 are involved in games against each other… Plenty of dropped points. Fully expect Wigan and Rotherham to win comfortably but a win for us would be consolidating our position in the top 6. Ha’way the lads.

There's always shocks in this league so we have to try to capitalise when other teams suffer them ...

... Accrington are tough to play against but we have the means to beat them.

Crewe, Cheltenham, Sheff Wed, etc are all hard teams and we beat them easily, Haway the Lads!!!

These are the games where I wished I had an easier life. Accrington only 41 mins away as per Google maps. Should have planned things for this one. Back to winning ways HWTL.

Really hoping for a big performance after the disappointing one in mid week but injuries and suspensions make this one a tough one.

Praying for an away win, but expecting a draw
