Reading some stories about Moshiri's close links with Kia Joorabchian who it appears is influencing some of the appointments. Apparently he was in the director's box on Saturday. He's Pereira's agent and also the agent for El Ghazi (and Iwobi) who it was rumoured wasn't a Rafa pick. Just waiting for the banners going up now at the ground.
i don't know the exact extent of concussion but surely an 8 day plan would for return would be the minimum and that puts it at Wednesday next which is the day before their semi final? At the very least with a concussion they should be applying fifa rules no? I believe this is 14 days and the FA's if in doubt guidelines state as much. that would bring him right up to 8th Feb for us (so no FA cup, no big deal) However that is 2 days after their final. only time will tell if he is reported to be out of the tournament or not.
interesting context. kind of like asking a fox to look after your hens. A fox will do what a fox does. This all for me boils down to one simple question. Are there 3 worse teams in the prem than everton? Burnely will not score enough. I've seen that lots and lots over time and teams who struggle to score struggle to get points. Norwich are an odd fish. Smith is not as "naive" as Farke in terms of defending. They are still fairly crap but they have a goal scorer and they have beaten their relegation rvials watford and everton. I just am not sure they are good enough to get enough points. Watford look like they've infought and players were un happy so now they've gone for WOY. I've no idea how that's going to work really. The old man knows how to shut up shop but they need results and goals. Newcastle are out to buy everyone and anyone. until the deadline passes its hard to say how they will end up but howe couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery so they need goals. At this point they've gone with 433 and fraser, saint and wood. so a cb and maybe a CM might be enough. Everton have what? 4 points and game in hand over newcastle. They've only 3 points over noriwch but 2 games in hand. 6 over watford with same games and burnely are 8 behind with 2 in hand over everton. IMO points in hand are far more valuable than games in hand in this situation as none of them can be releied on to get anything out of the games. Everton realistically need to get 7 wins out of 18 games to get to 40points. their next games are: Newcastle A (6 pointer) Leeds (h) (6 pointer) Southampton (a) then it gets tough, City, Spurs, Wolves 0 points? Watford (A) (6 pointer) Palace (H) Brentford (H) they also play us, west sham, cheslea, utd, leicester and arsenal they need some to be scheduled as well. I think they've ****ed up here. they've sacked rafa too late really to give a new man best chance to win those next 3. If they have a poor run there they are right in trouble. Watford, norwich and bruenly for me still Everton still have calvert lewin and ricarilson to score a couple.
They will be safe because the teams below them are worse. Their biggest worry is that they will be in the same situation next season and the one after...... if they don't start being patient. Going nearly full circle with wooing Martinez, then going for Rooney, Lampard, Pereira ... they have an owner who doesn't have a clue and seemingly isn't interested in trying to learn or be guided by those who do in fact he doesn't seem to be surrounded himself with good football people. He has a plaything that's gobbling up money as fast as he can make it.
it would seem to me that itd be far cheaper to head hunt a technical director and stay the hell out of tactical decisions like who the manage ris or what player plays. Long term these are not strategic calls. they are stepping stones to the grand scheme. focus on the new stadium, revenue growth, profit gouging.
Man U apparently want a £12m survival bonus in Lingard's loan to Newcastle, which would take the total loan cost with loan fees and wages to £16.5 million for the rest of the season.
Mental given the guy hasn’t played football for 6 months and has 6 months left on his contract. Newcastle walked away by sounds of it
with the guy's contract running down to zero this is a "**** off" loan quotation Utd would rather the play sit and go for nothing it seems
Prem confirmed need to have 4 positive covid cases to be able to postpone a game now. In theory admitting that they ****ed up when they allowed arsenal to postpone their games with only 1 covid case
so you can have say 19 players available, 4 covid cases and game is off.... yet the whole world is now over covid and everybody and their mother had omicron? I only need 4 fake test results to go into isolation and get a game called off. pretty cool.
No I think you need to not have enough players, but must have 4 covid cases. So if you’ve only got 12 players but 2 covid and rest unavailable due to injuries suspension etc, then game goes ahead.
So 13+1 in the first team squad still applies but now its 4 covid minimum within the say 9 to 11 injuries. I still think they should be forced to pull anyone who's played 2-3 u23 games into their squads to supplement. the funny thing is its mainly small timey types with low self esteem who've done the postponing. spurs got shcoked by UEFA throwing them out of that comp but shrugged then. the FA told them all to play their 3rd round games with anyone who was over 4 foot 11" and miraculously they could. The prem went soft on them IMO
Well hopefully Egypt are outclassed and mo comes home safe and sound. If they don't lose this round they will the next anyway
Is the the same place the keeper had a mare in the groups and dropped balm for an open goal? It looks as dry as a bone.
