As you say only 2 good central defensive midfielders. So shouldn't we be holding onto Ball as back up for Field,? He has already played the 1st part of the season doing exactly that. There were times we looked very open in front of the back 3, improved with Field's return, but I don't think Amos, Thomas or Dozzell are CDM's. Dont remember seeing Sanderson had played there before either.
Definite faithful servant of QPR. Scored a cracker a while back to win as I recall. Nevertheless, it's a business and decisions can't be (entirely) guided by emotion.
I like Dom Ball, hes a limited player but goes about his business with little fuss. With the likes of Johanson, Field, Dozzell and Amos all fighting for a central role then i can understand the reasoning behind letting him go. Im sure he himself doesnt want to play 5th fiddle. Good luck to whatever he and the club decide.
Personally I’d like Ball to stick around but fair play to him if he wants games. He’d be a great addition for many teams in this league and any in the league below. Meant to be a good bloke too.
What Josh Maja ? Hardly pulled up trees at Fulham and Palace , and done even less at Bordeaux. Plus he's an out and out striker, I wouldn't have thought he'd even be on our radar ?
WLS now suggesting De Wijs could be off on a loan. https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-defender-de-wijs-could-make-surprise-move
Agree with all that. However, he's good cover for Field. He and Field are similar players, except Field is obviously far superior. Field looks fit now, but his fitness must be questionable, so I'd hang on to Ball.
It maybe more a case of Ball wanting more game time than Warbs can offer him i think Col. Cant really knock either in their thinking.
No definately not, coming to the latter stages of his career, he could quite easily be playing every week for some clubs in this division.
Definitely think there's a bid gonna go in for Patterson, I'm praying it's enough for them to sell him and also no one else bids higher. Freeing up some wages by the look of it, Patterson could the key to us getting promoted, he's looked superb this season !
2021-22 season stats so far in the league Willock 26 games 6 goals 7 assists Chair 21 games 6 goals 3 assists Paterson 22 games 8 goals 4 assists 1 either side of a lone striker and 1 playing in behind ! Do it
