    if the nutters wish to throw that kind of money simply to watch two teams they have absolutely no affinity with then let them go for it, as @Montysoptician just said, whenever they turn up to support 'the other team' we always do well...from the prices the lads have posted regarding train fares alone the nutters could be blowing up to 500 quid to not follow their own team, pure madness.

    Just watched the "local" news on BBC1 and for some reason they showed Howe's press conference and in that, low and behold our result on Monday was brought up! The question which could only have been from a mag reporter was "would you prefer Sunderland to win the play off final and get promoted or have them stay in league 1?". For a club in league 1 and with all the blood money they can spend they still can't stop thinking about us

    There was a bit of a smirk from Howe which made the room laugh but then he trotted out the usual ****e of how he's heard about the atmosphere of the derby and how he would like to sample it for himself

    Ridiculous question and he could have let the journalist know that by his answer and still won favour with the mags. Quite simply "why are you asking me about a club in the league 1 play-off final at the press conference for our next premier league match?"
