A supporting three of (new signing) - Redmond - Stuie, behind Adams (or preferably new signing), could be our best option moving forward.[/QUOTE]

unless one of those signings is peak ronaldo (Brazilian or Portuguese!) then that is a bottom 3 attack again next season.

Yes embarrassed to say we left immediately. Very sad day for me. My son has had enough as a ST & won’t be renewing ….. after a history of watching Saints I’ve lost my best football mate which means I’ll probably stop as well. Sad times. Maybe stupidly I wanted Saints to put in a performance to be proud of last eve (especially against that 2nd string). Didn’t see it. I wanted Saints to have some influence on the PL crown. We didn’t.

You keep your hands off our Jimmy. He’s got another good 4 or 5 years left with us!

KWP played ok as he always does
Redders had one of his good games
Lyanco always shows grit and determination
Stuey and Oriel improved things a bit
I made the great decision to watch with a mate at the pub over a couple of Hobgoblin Golds

Nothing else positive to say so that’ll do
It’s all about what happens over summer

I’m aware of that, but thankfully the season doesn’t occur ‘since the Villa game’. Yes, we’re horrendous right now, but we also shouldn’t forget or discount the fact we’ve also been very good at times this season too.

This is why Ralph should be given a stay of execution in my book. If you look at the season as a whole we've achieved what was required. On the pitch stay in the division and off the pitch get taken over. The annoying thing is a top half finish looked on at one point before the wheels came off. The squad and the coaching staff needs shaking up. But a change of manager? Not at that stage yet for me.

The Redmond goal gave me hope we'd make a game of it, hope did it again.

Perraud would have been playing if he didn’t have a fractured leg. That’s why Salisu was LB.

This. People seem to have forgotten we had a long unbeaten run at home.

Good goal though. Silenced the Redmond haters around me, and completely vindicated the bloke in from of me who has been calling for Redmond to be in the team all season.

Minamino's goal was class too btw.

This is why I think it's better to judge on entire season's rather than odd 8 game runs (either way) and I make this his first bad season.

1 & 1/2 good ones (half being year he came in and 1 the 11th season)

    1 average/par season (20/21)

    1 poor season (this)

The worry as I alluded to on the other thread is the direction that it's going imo.

Good decision indeed,I sold my season tickets back (for £13.50 each ffs) first time this season.
Can't see much incentive to renew right now, although listening to solent last night was awful.
    Have a good summer everyone.

But is that direction because every year we don’t spend, we’re bound to get worse, or because he’s gradually been losing the plot.

That’s the million dollar question. I think it’s a bit of both. We can change the approach to the first, and I think he’s due a go at changing the second.

Interested to read that Redders has 6 assists this season, second only to JWP who has 8 (in many more games).

Yep, psychologically Ralph and the whole squad seem shot. Old Ralph would have absolutely gone for it last night. One too many thrashings plus the fans calling for him to go, doesn't bode well for anyone who wants to watch us playing carefree attacking football.
