Yes, but even this they screwed up. First, by making sure that almost no one voted because they didn't know about it and, even if they somehow found out, the window for voting was about three days. Second, by not handing out the award in the last home game before the fans as is usually done. It's almost as if they want to provoke a war with the fans.
Does seem rather strange not to present the award in the final home game. Can't remember it not being presented on final home game.
Every time it looks like this season has hit rock-bottom, it manages to find a new low. Next on the agenda: They announce that Pukki has been sold???
Now been announced that there will be an on-pitch presentation. Which feels like a hasty backtrack when they noticed the fan reaction. Comms has really gone down the drain in the last year. Such an own goal. 1. Pukki, 2. Hanley, 3. Williams is such an uncontroversial selection, they could have just opened the process normally, and lied about the results if they were worried. Or said that some votes had been discounted from fans of other clubs, because not at all unusual for Chelsea/United fans to interfere with a vote.
The use of the word 'together' seems a bit out of place - all the goodwill and togetherness that Farke built up has long since vanished, with no signs of anything close to replacing it?
Gary Gowers end of term report pulls no punches!! https://norwichcity.myfootballwrite...city-football-club-deserves-better-than-this/
I completely agree with you Walsh, but to be fair I read the Tweet as saying we need to come together?
https://byag.medium.com/2021-22-season-review-114f6fe664ca A decent season review which highlights many things that have been discussed here. I think one of the most interesting points was that none of our signings last summer have been complete flops, all have shown flashes of being the player we needed them to be. But those brief moments rarely coincided with others showing form, and were frequently disrupted by injuries.
Eriksen has only been in the league for half the season, ahead of Rice, Bowen, Kovacic, Rodri... really?
Same reason that people voted for Ukraine in Eurovision despite it being a car crash of an entry sung by a twat in a hat.
we should have bad players of the season with worst players who have played 15 or more games this you. Expect there is plenty of Yellow and Green
It wouldn't have made much difference to our season but thought I'd share in case anyone is interested... https://www.espn.co.uk/football/eng...affected-every-premier-league-club-in-2021-22
Interesting reading. I still think a system like VAR is needed, but the current one is not the one. Similar system works in Rugby, but players respect the referee more than in football, and are not "cheating", feigning injuries etc. all the time. Will not be a problem next season though. No VAR, just incompetent refs
Arguably over a course of a whole season bad decisions even out. I do think VAR may favour the big clubs but from about 7th place down that doesn't really matter. Personally I don't especially want to be back in the top flight in 23/24.
